Happy vs. Bad Endings, which do you prefer to play first?

Happy Ending first and foremost! It kinda cement my impression of the LI, so when I tried the bad ending first especially the yandere one, sometimes a sudden character shift kinda break the immersion for me......

I play blind for the first playthrough, aiming for the happy ending. I usually consinder bad endings as a type of extra, so I play them after

Depending on the length of the game. If the game is short and it's just plain visual novel, I usually go for the bad endings first, and leave the happy/true endings till the last so my last impression about the game will be something happy lol. But if the game is quite long and has simulation or RPG element such as Tokimeki Memorial GS and Harukanaru Toki no Naka de, I will go straight for the happy endings first just because I know I won't finish all endings with all routes.

I'd want to play the bad ending first. I think I'd rather experience the absolute worst-case scenario and see exactly how things fall apart before going back and getting the happy ending. Knowing what could have gone wrong would probably make the happy ending feel so much more rewarding.

There's also something about seeing the characters at their emotional lowest that I just can't resist. I want to see all the heartbreak, the complicated emotions, and the choices that lead them down that path—even if it completely destroys me in the process. Then, when I finally get the happy ending, I can just sit there and think, "Okay… in this timeline, they actually got to be happy. We did it." And honestly, that feeling is worth all the emotional damage.

I usually follow a guide and do the good ending first! It just feels more natural to me, like I'm getting the proper continuation of the route first. Then I go back and do all the bad endings afterwards.

I usually go for the bad endings first since I don't wanna get a mood whiplash from going from a happy end to something unhappy lol

I definitely prefer bad endings. In fact, if a story has multiple endings, I'd probably choose to see the bad ending first and then the happy ending. I like suffering first and then getting my happy ending as a reward lol.

i usually go w the good endings first.....lemme enjoy my time beforr falling in despair xDD thats why games like even if tempest or virche evermore were hard to do...i dont dislike bad endings but IM SAD HAVING TO DO THEM FIRST IDK i cried alot in both but it made the good endings even better...but sometimes i do the bad endings first when i act the way i want...by this i mean like ikkis or yori....i was always picking the meanie options bc i kinda hated or didnt like them makinbg get the bad ending first. (tho i really hate yori and never got his good ending LMAO i ended up liking ikki a bit more )

Good endings , the bad endings in some games usually tend to have the shorter end of the stick and feels rushed sometimes

I used to care a lot about playing the bad ones first and saving the good ones for last, but it can get really tedious to keep up with the saving and reloading and everything so now I just do the good one first and then work my way through the others

I like playing without using a walkthrough first cause it's more fun. I usually try to get the happy ending but am ok with any ending I get.

If I'm not particularly into the character I'm playing, I only play for the happy ending. But if I really like the character, I'll clear the happy ending first and then go for the bad endings afterward.

And if the bad ending hurts me emotionally that badly, I'll play through the happy ending again afterward to heal the damage it caused me, haha.

I enjoy the excitement of not knowing what's going to happen next, so I might end up getting either a good or bad ending. I generally aim for the good ending, but depending on the situation, I might intentionally go for a bad ending too. Sometimes bad endings hit me harder and stay with me longer, so I really enjoy them when they're done well.

I like ending things on a high note so most of the time I'd finish all the bad endings first and then close that li's route with the best ending. Also maybe this is very sentimental, but I hate leaving the mc and li in a "bad" position.
