Happy vs. Bad Endings, which do you prefer to play first?

I was wondering if I'm the only one who goes for all the happy endings first, with the game guide in hand and very sure of the first route I'm going to play... Do you try to go for the happy ending right away, or do you like checking out the bad/tragic endings first?
I enjoy seeing how dark or dramatic bad endings can get, but I always end just needing the sweet resolution first. How about you? do you use a guide or go totally blind on your first route?

When I was young, I preferred sad endings, so I only looked for that kind of thing and watched it, but after becoming an adult, I seem to be looking for happy endings no matter what. (I used a translator, so if anything feels off, sorry)

Sometimes there are otome games that force you to play their bad endings first to unlock the true or good ending. But I think I prefer playing the bad ending first, because bad endings always hurt and the only thing that can heal me is the good ending.

Well, if the good ending doesn't feel like one, I'm going to riot tho!

Personally, I prefer to make a relationship complete, so I give priority to a happy ending. However, there is no denying that in some cases, a bad ending can be very beautiful, so I cried in blx.

I usually follow guides and start with bad endings. It makes the most sense to me to start with them. You get to them much sooner and it also shows you the writer's train of thought better. If I want to fully "explore" the story, I treat it as a path. I do the wrong turn to explore the bad option and then I go back to the last relevant crossroads and follow the other. Then I get all the bad endings "on the way" to the happy ending, if the game mechanism allows it. The happy endings are the sweetest when I work my way from the bottom to the top.

Idk why, but I'll try to get the bad ending first 😭 Usually it somehow ends up being way more than I expected, and then I'll get the happy ending after lol.

Usually, in my very first playthrough in an otome game, I do it fully blind (no guides, whatsoever) so whatever ending I get from my choices may it be a bad, normal, or good one, I just go with it.

But once I go the second time round, I lean on doing the bad endings first. Not only do bad endings feel tragically beautiful to me to experience the worst in a route, but it also makes getting the happy end last much more fulfilling for me in a way. Because I got to see the MC and LI in their lowest, now I can feel relief in seeing them joyous and hopeful in their best possible ending :giggle:

I usually play the bad endings first, because going the other way around would be a bit upsetting. Sometimes I end up feeling down for a whole week

I usually play the good ending first before going through the bad ending to collect everything. I might speed‑run it without reading the story carefully. But if the bad ending is particularly interesting, I might play it first, then go for the good ending to make up for the regret.

I'll play the bad ending first, because it's bitter before sweet—only by experiencing the painful ending first can the beauty of the good ending feel even better.

I like to play blindly at first and I think I would rather see the bad ending then good ending depending on the story because the after taste it leaves needs to be good.

I like to play the happy endings first. Then the bad endings. However, admittedly I do one blind playthrough and more than often I end up with the bad ending first.

I usually go into my first playthrough completely blind. That way, I might end up getting a happy ending or a bad ending... there's something fun about not knowing what you're going to get! That said, I actually prefer seeing the bad endings first. Personally, I like saving the happy ending for later—it just feels more satisfying that way!

Ideally, I'd prefer a happy ending, but for some reason, I often end up heading straight for a bad ending.
So lately, I've given up on that and just tackle the bad endings first, then enjoy the happy ending at the end.

Of course, a happy ending. I'd rather see the main characters reach a happy ending than a tragedy. First, have some sugar, and without CG, I probably wouldn't play a bad ending either.

I'd like to traumatize myself with bad endings first, its like studying hard subjects with a reward in the which is the good endings

I usually use a guide and clear the bad endings first, then save the happy ending for last.
I really enjoy the bad and tragic endings, but I like ending the game on a high note.:giggle:

Happy endings first. I need the emotional damage from the bad endings after I already know everything will be okay.

When I play games, I usually play happy end first and then bad end. A good ending is really important to me, and it determines my impression of this game. Sometimes, in order to gather all the CG for the game, I would first play 'bad end', endure hardship first, and then enjoy sweetness.

I never use a guide and go totally blind with my choices, but I always picked the choice that will satisfy the LI's and can get me into a good ending, though sometimes it turns into a bad ending one. But personally for me, I love the good ending first!
