Honestly, I would prefer that. The reason is that the choices you make are rarely taken into account; in some games, they only serve to change the ending—which is the only "real consequence"—while otherwise, they just force a few lines of dialogue that seem to have no relevance beyond leading to a bad ending. Instead, it would be great to have various options with different types of consequences, ensuring your choices carry significant weight in the story, rather than just boiling down to a simple "yes" or "no."
