Me personally, I do. There are so little of them tbh, compared to what men get. In fact, it's pretty hard to find a VL catered to men that DOESN'T have H scenes. And it's the other way around for us😅 Don't get me wrong, regular otomes are also good but sometimes I also want spicy content you know… Hearing your favourite VA moan and whimper is really hot and how the LI's take care of the MC🤭 Also if you have any good eroge otome to recommend please let us now😊

I definitely wish there were more R18 otome games! I completely get where you're coming from.

There are so many games aimed at men with adult content, but when it comes to women, our options are pretty limited. Sometimes I can't help but think, "Women have those interests too!"

Back in the day, Japan used to release more R18 otome games for PC, but nowadays most otome titles seem to be coming out on Nintendo consoles instead. I'm guessing ratings and platform restrictions are part of the reason we don't see many new R18 otome games anymore.

That said, I remember hearing about a PC R18 otome game called The Goddess Of Tears ~Restoration~ that was being crowdfunded in Japan. I didn't back it myself, so I'm not sure how the project is doing, but it did give me hope that the genre isn't completely dead. New releases are definitely rare these days, but they still pop up once in a while.

As for Western otome games, I'm probably not the best person to ask since I don't really follow that scene.

For recommendations, I'd suggest checking out Aromarie's games if you haven't already. They're the studio behind Chou no Doku: Hana no Kusari. Chou no Doku has a dark, melancholic atmosphere with a very Japanese feel, so if that sounds like your kind of game, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try!

I used a translator for this, so it might sound a little awkward. (>_<。)💦

Oh I just realised I have played that game and honestly I loved it! We definitely need more otomes like that with both spice and dark themes

yes and no for me!..(?)

it would be cool if there were more otome eroge! joseimuke erotica tends to be gentler in both writing and art, at least judging by other forms of media. and if you actually have a freedom of choice on which route to choose and what ending to go for, thats even better!! though im totally okay with kinetic vns too x3 like, girlies need some food too!

on the other hand though, for me personally, r18 otome are usually very lackluster in the "otome" part in both art and technical stuff. im generally fine with danseimuke erotica, in fact i love cutieful sexy girls!, but if r18 otome is indistinguishable from r18 galge in terms of art, i dont really see the point in calling it otome.. kinda..? after all, there are many r18 otome that warn you about danseimuke-looking/-feeling r18 scenes. and like, eh? where is this coming from?? danseimuke content in otome?? huh???

and the voice acting part is weird too. most r18 otome ive encountered so far have a voiced mc, and, paradoxically, the voice acting of the heroine is better and more erotic than the love interests..? which to me is also questionable, because why even have voice acting in your game if its on the weaker side? voice acting is one of otome's strongest points in general!!><

but its just me being picky, so feel free to ignore my nonsensical ramblings.......:"3
