Do you use the Auto Play function when reading VNs?

Nah, I don't mind manually forwarding text dialogue. Sometimes I even replay the voiced lines and soak in the atmosphere and pretty art for emotional impact.

It depends. There are some where you can set the speed of text, so those I love using auto-play for. My favourites are where the text appears slightly faster than when they finish speaking, so it seamlessly moves of to the next dialogue as if they're speaking naturally!

I recently realized that even if the story is boring, I can still enjoy the game just by listening to the voice acting. So now I use the autoplay feature to make progress while doing other things, and I'm actually having more fun with the game than before.

But when I'm having a snack or eating something, I do occasionally turn autoplay on.

Because it's better than leaving it paused.

It depends on the game for me too! I usually don't use auto mode because I like to read at my own pace—sometimes I want to linger on a line, other times I skim faster. But if I'm replaying a route or just want to relax and watch the story like a little movie, I turn it on. That said, I always end up getting impatient and clicking ahead anyway. So yeah, manual clicking feels more natural to me too, even if my finger gets tired. You're not alone!
