Do you use the Auto Play function when reading VNs?

Although most visual novels have an auto-play speed adjustment, I honestly never use it. I prefer the feeling of pressing the button when I play XD

Although it's unethical, sometimes I press the button before the voice playback is finished because I care too much about the story development.

I use it quite often - pretty much exclusively when Im gaming and multitasking lol.
When I eat and play otome games and when I put on my skincare at night and play otome games. Or Ive also folded clothes and played otome games before

Autoplay is usually pretty great to use if the game is dialogue heavy are fully voiced (so it would be just like watching a show) but everytime the unvoiced narration/description parts come up they either stays on for too long so you wait a bit after you already read them or too short to even read.

Maybe rarely if I'm playing on a handheld console or rereading scenes instead of skipping text, but generally? The pace in which I read clashes too much to really use the function since it kinda feels like having someone flip through the pages of the book for you when you'd rather do it yourself

yup, once the unvoiced or narrating lines appear, the pacing just crumbles

I only turn on auto-play to listen to all the voice acting when I'm playing RPG games. For otome games, I'm a bit too impatient to listen through the whole thing (except for my favorite voice actors).
