i still play fully voiced vns, but i'm completely fine with unvoiced ones too since i play a lot of indie vns on itch.io. as long as the story is good, that's what really matters to me.

It doesn't matter to me whether a game has voice acting. I know several good VNs that don't. So, for me, the most important thing is that the story is interesting and leaves a strong impression. Besides, I'm already "tired" of some VAs and sometimes turn off the voice acting for their characters lol

Well, of course I prefer it when a game is fully voiced, since I can understand some Japanese by ear to a certain extent. But when there's no voice acting and my translator messes up, it really slows things down.

Personally, if I ever come across non-voiced VNs, I'd rather read book with illustrations each page LOL (particularly Phantom of the Opera Illustrated classic if I really need that 'imagining guide' at least I'd know I'm on the right track). But then again, I would also see myself listening to audio books (much engaging!). So to just completely summarize the blabber, I prefer the Visual Novel to be package-wise (voiced as well), besides, it's among the essence that create the Visual Novels' existence (particularly their appeal ;)
