I'm Back!!! :nyanmusu_cheer:

Computer nightmares... I'm sure many folks have had them.

I'm just getting through a major one, over two weeks without a computer.

A while back, my laptop fan gave out. No biggie, bought a new fan, and asked a friend to replace it. I figured two or three hours at most. But no. He had a family emergency, and had to leave town for a couple of days... with my machine in his home safe.

He got back, put the new fan in, but now the screen didn't light, and no boot up sounds. Took it to a different friend who opened it up to discover that the mother board is fried.

My laptop is dead. :deadsad:

Because money is an issue, it has taken me this long to get a new laptop, a sweet ASUS with all the bells and whistles.

Of course, all my bookmarks are gone, so there's still a lot of work to go, but at least I'm back on ASF! :alice_hi:

I am sure many of you have had computer nightmares that really messed things up. Care to tell us about them?

motherboard is fried but as long as the hard drive is good you can still read your files.
you may find your bookmark file in your hard drive, depending on your browser. i did that with chrome and firefox, they were easy to find, almost everything was there.
one problem is the permissions, i didn't have the permission to read system folder, but somehow i tried to use a linux machine to read it and it worked.
good luck.

My deep condolences, Champ!

And...

Ah ya, I had few times this unpleasent experience with my PC as well.

About 5-7 years ago got corrupted my inter HDD (Did anything lost...>_>), so 2 years later had the motherboard change because the USB-ports got corrupted (Was this annoying...>_>), and about again so much years later died my screen...>_>

Dear, Nihonjaki90. Would you reupload this please?

Btw, I recommend replacing ddownload with either dailyuploads, filespayouts, or Freedlink for your host. ddownload links are slow, and they got taken down easily these days.

Would you reupload these ancient games (seems to be a two in one) please? You're the last person known to have them.

If you didn't have 'em... then they're lost media. At least on this site.
