Compulsively downloading BL Games?

Definitely, I even have a USB stick backup (Idk if it'll work well though) (^-^; It feels satisfying to collect them somehow..

Not just bl but fav otomes, games, anime. I don't trust even steam haha

I kinda don't, but I'm thankful to everyone that does because some download links will go down and I'll be begging for someone to reupload!

honestly, same. as for whether i keep or delete a game after finishing it, it depends. if i really, really like the game then i keep it.

I kinda sorta unintentionally started an archiving operation for otome content. (◉ _ ◉)
For BL content, I'm honestly trying to un-ick myself on it, but it's slow going honestly... I do want to, but it's hard, LOL, as an ex-fujoshi.

But yes, I genuinely want to preserve this content and if links go down/it's no longer available, I'm more than happy to provide it to others. On top of that, I just strongly believe in free/easy access to knowledge and entertainment. Without places like this forum, I never would have been able to discover 一条ひらめ and then go and buy his CDs and support him. (╥﹏╥)

I don't have enough storage on my PC, and saving games elsewhere is a hassle for me and isn't really worth it. If I did keep an archive, I probably would never use anything in it; it would just be sitting there without a purpose. However, I am really thankful to everyone who does archive games and helps restore dead links!

When I finish a game, I delete it and move on to the next one—though sometimes it is a bit sad to say goodbye to a game you've played for hours

I'm a hoarder at heart and my 5TB external drive has been my best friend for years at this point. I'm also really afraid of losing things I enjoyed or could have enjoyed if I'd gotten to them earlier, and the thought of having to deal with lost media is harrowing to me in general.

So yeah, if any BL game interests me in any way, I'll look into getting it ASAP and keeping it warm on my hard drive, even if I get to it in 3 years' time. We might never know what the game's state will be in 3 years' time.

It's especially important for older games if they don't have an accessible way to buy them (unfortunately I can't afford hunting down physical copies of games), and sometimes even games with a legal DL version kind of give me a headache (thinking about Messiah and its smartphone browser version I was looking into getting despite hating the phone browser format before realizing I probably can't buy stuff from Animate Games with an overseas bank card anyway... I still have to find a copy of that game, but I kinda tapped out out of frustration at some point, oops.)

I also collect BL games, both old and new ones
There are even some I still haven't played yet because I've been more focused on otome games lately. But honestly, I love both otome and BL

And I don't just collect the games themselves either — some of them came with drama CDs and soundtracks too.
It still makes me a little sad that my old computer broke because I had so many old BL drama CD files saved on it (༎ຶ ෴ ༎ຶ)

I understand. I'm worried that I might not be able to download it either. I try to download and save as much as possible, but since my computer has limited storage space, I only keep my favorites.

I am always afraid of this so I keep my favorite games downloaded. I'm sometimes even wary of devs deleting games directly off of steam, itchio, or any other platform so I keep many of my games installed in case this ever happens.

honestly with the left and right killings of pirated contents that are going on right now, i wouldnt even call it "compulsive". its good to preserve stuff after all! but yeah im very afraid of losing any game ever. and it seems like indies/doujin titles are more at risk, because at least commercial titles have SOME eyes on them;-;

and yea, it does feel like its getting harder to find stuff you used to be able to find easily nowadays.. this is why im happy animesharing exists and there are so many wonderful and generous people on here ehe;v; i know people are saying "piracy sites are like hydra blahblah", but it mostly works for very mainstream media, definitely not anime and especially not joseimuke/otome/bl.....!! its just, great to be a hoarder overall

Some of the older games barely having any active links has convinced me to do the same.
