Hello, residents of my newest home...
I am an avid reader in both English and Japanese of novels, history, philosophy, and Visual Novels. In particular, over the last three years or so, I have devoured more than a hundred visual novels, incidentally helping me gain a much wider knowledge of Japanese and kanji in the process.
I have been a fansubber for several groups, including Live-evil (briefly), Ayako, m33w, and Batsu-geimu (founding member). I enjoy the act of translation, though these days I only do translation-checking.
In addition, I am a long-time addict of role-playing games in general and jrpgs in particular, though I have cut down on my consumption of them severely in recent years, in direct proportion to the reduction in the genre's overall maturity, lol.
My general preferences for Visual Novels are ones such as Ayakashibito or Comyu that are both action centric and contain a strong philosophical themes, though I have played numerous chara-ge and moege, while mostly avoiding nukige and sports or entertainment industry themed games.
I am also an avid writer, both as part of my work and for pleasure.
