[SOLVED] Burning Discs
I feel as if I'm abusing this forum... my sincere apologies. D:
I'm looking to make a copy of a disc. As in, I intend to create another disc that will function in the exact same way as the first (I guess you call this disc cloning?). I do believe I have a burner, as it says 'DVD-RW Drive ( E: )' under Devices with Removable Storage in My Computer. However, I only have one CD drive so I've heard that the freeware ImgBurn is rather reliable so I'm going with that for now.
From what I understand, I'm supposed to insert the disc I wish to copy and get ImgBurn to copy the files to my HD. Then I insert the blank and initiate the burning. But I'm still jittery about a few things...
1. The disc is not a music CD nor a movie DVD; it's a game. Does this change the process in any way? And after copying, will the cloned disc still behave like the first one would (installing the game etc.)?
2. Is the first disc affected from the copying? I won't end up accidentally changing anything in it, will I?
3. Considering it's a game and it's rather large, what kind of blanks am I supposed to use? What happens if the disc doesn't have enough memory to contain the whole image? Will it ask me to insert another blank and continue copying or will I be stuck with an incomplete disc?
As if it weren't confusing enough, the game has TWO disks. Meaning that there are two disks I need to burn.
I'm kind of overwhelmed by it all... Or am I just over-thinking this? Please do enlighten me!
EDIT: It's the PC version of Mass Effect 1.
