This is just a guess on my part, but by any chance, are you into "yume" (self-insert) fandom? I got that impression from the way you talked about your feelings for Athrun Zala and Satoru Gojo.
If you're not familiar with it, no pressure at all, but you might enjoy looking up some yume works sometime!
For context, "yume" is a fan-created genre where a person imagines themselves, or a self-insert character, having a romantic relationship with a character from a manga, anime, or other fictional work.
