Bad ending or good ending, which one do you prefer?

I like both but honestly I'm always more excited for the bad endings. Sometimes they're way better than the good endings… :miku_peek:

I liked one of Minami's bad ends in 9rip - granted, this could be because it had a cg, but it's definitely "up there" as an ending i love.

Overall, I hate it when games have a million repeat bad ends, but i liked some of Kaguyas from Taisho x Alice too.

Good ending is definitely what I want in the first place from the game. But I love bad endings too. Especially the ones showing how much LI is suffering. Oh, the angst, I am fan of this in small amounts

I tend to not finish all bed endings especially if im so invested with the good endings. But my fave bad endings are from Honey Vibes, Even if Tempest, and Winters Wish

For me, it has to be a good ending! I can really only handle games with happy endings. If I find out a certain love interest doesn't get a happy conclusion, I'll usually just skip the game. I actually always spoil myself a little bit and check the endings before playing a new game to make sure my heart won't be broken! 😂

I generally prefer happy endings, but there are times when I feel that a bad ending brings out the characters' charm and the story's strengths even better.

As a Vanilla/ Pure Love Enjoyer, i prefer the Happy Ending.
For Example in H-Games:
1. Bio-Tech Nurse: The Happy Ending, MC and The Heroine are living happy together with their child on the way.
Meanwhile in the Bad Ending, the MC died while the Heroine are still alive but she's living alone.
2. Crimson Lotus Soaring Pure Flame, Stigma of Corruption, etc : The Happy Ending is MC and The Heroine are living Together.
The MC got cucked in Bad Ending and the Heroine got stolen from him.

I totally prefer happy endings to bad ones since I want to see the happy ever after with the LI. Give me the fluff and the sweetness! For me, going straight to the happy ending gives me closure to the route and somehow completes the story. Then, after the HE, I sometimes move on to the BEs if my heart can take it ><

I prefer good ending because bad ending left a bad taste. I play game to find fun, not to suffer more. Life is already depressing as it is, so I just want a fluffy sugar dose.

I generally prefer lighthearted stories, so I'd definitely choose a happy ending. If I can avoid a bad ending, I probably will. I know bad endings can add more depth to the characters and make their backstories richer, so maybe I'm missing out a little, but I'd still rather see everyone end up happy.

i always like to see the bad endings. especially when the LI gets very obsessed and starts to really show it. i love it when their obsession that is shown throughout the route gets taken to its peak and ur shown what can happen when it takes over. sometimes i just want a whole route of what happens after the bad ending.

I think it really depends on how well the game is written, especially how it handles the ending. Some bad endings just feel like they exist for the sake of having a BE—they end so abruptly that they feel completely out of place. Others, though, feel like they were genuinely planned as part of the overall story and have a proper conclusion that fits the route. As long as it's well written, I can appreciate both BEs and HEs. Of course, part of that is because I always force myself to platinum the game anyway. 😆

Whether an ending is good or bad is subjective.
I don't see endings like the heroine being imprisoned, mutual death with a romanceable character, or her losing that character but gaining everything else as bad endings.
Endings where the heroine becomes a doll, or where either the heroine or romanceable character dies alone feel truly tragic to me, sob.
