Are there any routes that made you cry while playing?

Some routes have really impressed me, but none have made me cry so far. Has any route ever made you cry, either while playing or because of the ending?
 
Once. I don't cry easily, especially not when watching movies or playing games.

But Iseya's Tragic End in Yoshiwara Higanbana broke me 😭.

I'm usually a very sentimental person when it comes to these kinds of moments; I think I remember crying a lot during the bad ending of Enishi in Ken ga Kimi. People say Virche is a game that will hurt your soul, but I can't confirm that since I haven't played it yet.

i cry really easily when playing games so this'll end up being a long list for me so i'll only mention one's that seriously left an impact because of how much i bawled T___T

the heaviest on the list would be zaizen and masaya from club suicide. the game itself is just very emotional and dark due to the themes it covers but those two in particular really resonated with me and the kind of perspective ive held about my own humanity and desires ^^

other than that i surprisingly cried a lot during ichiya's route in varibarri, his story (as well as taiga's) had struggles that were so realistic and relatable and the fact that i wasnt expecting it to talk about anything of the sort really got to me and left in such an emotional state

and then lastly virche lol lmao but i cried so much during adolphe's route / le salut that i had to take a break and nap and then wake up to finally finish it

I cried so hard during playing Mozu's route... Snow White in TaishoxAlice also make me cry tho not as much as Mozu
 
There have been some that made me tear up, such as Ankou's or Kai's (Jack Jeanne), but I don't really cry easily. Still, the one that had the most impact on me in this way is actually Zenn from EiT, specifically in *that one scene and CG* where he comforts Anastasia. That hit my heart hard😖
 
I was routinely crying when playing Ray's route and after story in mystic messenger T-T Also I remember crying during Soh's in ozmafia years ago. Hibiki's in 9R.I.P. made me tear up a lot too...
But one that surprised me was Dante's 1926 route?? Very specifically *that one* part where they confront Teo near the end of the route and he jumps off the roof, then his last dialogue is "My little sister, my family... don't forget me." DUDE IDK family storylines always get me. even that one. maybe because it was specifically about siblings?? I cried CRIED. edit cuz I just remembered: THAT BAD ENDING TOO MAN I COULDN'T STAND IT I BROKE. Honorific mention to Henri's 1926 bad ending and the ending song Last Twilight, I still use it to cry for unrelated reasons lmao.

something similar happened in Dance with Devils' common route where Lindo tells MC it's okay to cry because "You've done your best all on your own." I kid you not I BAWLED MY EYES OUT FOR THAT ONE SCENE i was sad. Also Roen's Human Bad End it broke my heart I had to put the game down for a while orz

9 RIP made me sob a lot, Especially SENA and Hibiki's route. The fan disc also makes me really sad sometimes. Especially when it addresses her family and the fact
MC dies in several routes and then her family have to deal with the grief.
 
OMG not only cry i felt something empty in my chest when i finish sweet pool and slow damage DAMN.... i cry a lot in the end of the true end of slow damage and for sweet pool the ending not only made me cry but felt something like there is no escape for them and felt miserable ;W; like WHY MY BABYSSSS DONT HAVE A HAPPY ENDING ;W;
 
Oh there are several. Hell I'm pretty sure I've cried at least once in every game I've played so far- I cry very, very easily lol
The ones that probably made me cry the most were all of Cafe Enchante, Virche, and Orlok's bad end + Henri's life story in Piofiore

I cry easily I think in happy endings and sad endings but the most recent game I feel like is always so bittersweet is 9RIP. Even the better good ends makes me want to cry.
For older games...I can't really remember honestly.
 
Yeah, a few absolutely did 😭Saint-Germain's route in Code: Realize really got me—something about the devotion and inevitability just hurt. I also teared up during Orlok's route (especially the bad end) in Piofiore: Fated Memories. That kind of quiet, hopeless suffering always hits me right in the chest.
 
I cryed at Kuroyuki bad ending, Mushroom oasis 1st bad ending. It was too sad and i regret playing it.
 
Every single route for Virche Evermore and the FD was a back to back cry session.
 
God, it's been some years since I last cried while playing an otome game, the ones I remember is Impey and Saint-Germain's route in Code: Realize back when I finish discovered this type of games. And I think the last time I felt something similar was during Yves' route in Virche, the end of that route destroyed me so bad. It wasn't because of the tragedy per se, It was a particular choice of words by the author that really resonated with me in Japanese. I also felt a really tight knot in my throat at the end of le salut even though I didn't really care about Ankou as a LI. But still, I gotta admit that last CG was a work of art and the final lines he says after you're back on the title screen were the final nail in the coffin for me.

Finale(?) end route from suicide club. I cried at least once in all route, but the final end route especially the part where Eba and Masaya talk to each other are the one who make me cry a mess
 
yves' route and le salut in virche are probably the most i've cried when reading an otome, i remember having to put my switch down and take breaks LMAO

more recently, i played cafe enchante last year and the last chunks of both il and misyr's route made me cry. i remember nameless making me cry also
 
Probably all the endings of Virche. I thought I wouldn't cry, but I ended up crying a lot :cry:
 
I agree with virche and that's probably why i am hesitant to play the fandisk 😭.
Also 9 R.I.P i teared up during SENA's route.
 
Underrated opinion but Kei Okazaki in Collar x Malice. I have a soft spot for him. Literally made me cry in anger, disappointment, love, etc. That one route alone gave me many emotions.
