A barbarian Anime?

Bit of an odd request, but I'm looking for some recommendations.

Can anyone name an anime that falls under the 'barbarian' category? Similar to Conan the Barbarian in terms of setting and characters.

The closest I've found is Berserk which follows a lot of the same tropes (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SwordAndSorcery).

I know anime doesn't normally cater to this, but I felt it was worth asking.

I don't think I have ever seen a barbarian series. But storywise, I think Goblin Slayer might fit the bill, for what you are looking for. It is a dark series with a hero, that does what ever needs to be done to win. I can't wait till the next one comes out in a few months.

Vinland Saga is a must if you're looking for that niche. Just finished it today- marathon'd 24 eps. Not perfect but it was still a very good show. I give it a 9.
