18+ drama CDs Vs storyline drama CDs, which do you prefer?

I've asked my friends about this, but 80% of them say they prefer drama CDs that focus on the storyline. I, on the other hand, prefer 18+ drama CDs. That's why I wanted to find someone to share my thoughts on. Lmao

I definitely choose R18+ drama cds lol

Not all of them focus on bed scenes, there are R18 drama cds that are well-written and have heartbreaking, deep stories too. But they're darker and more immoral, which isn't something all-ages drama cds can get away with. There's no censorship, no 'fade to black' when things get too suggestive.

Some don't even have a happy ending, it's more like... a tragic ending. This kind of R18+ drama cd is rare, but most of them are part of a series.

I prefer drama CDs for adults. Many have a really good story and develop the characters relationships well, not to mention the sex scenes are great too, hehe ☜⁠ ⁠(⁠↼⁠_⁠↼⁠). But ultimately, I enjoy the adult ones much more; there are some very mature and intense stories that I really enjoy listening to. ლ⁠(⁠´⁠ ⁠❥⁠ ⁠`⁠ლ⁠)

I love the misunderstandings and the whole process of two people slowly getting closer and finally falling in love in all-ages drama CDs, but I also can't resist the lovey-dovey scenes in R18 works…
I just want a long series that has both!!

I also like stories where the relationship gradually deepens and the characters become lovers.
It would be great if there were adult scenes included after that.

for me drama cds r like another animes or mangas for me too so i like cds with more storyline even if theyre 18+. so i prefer storyline ones!

I enjoy watching the relationship deepen gradually while building a proper backstory with the heroine, rather than just having a lot of explicit sex scenes! In that situation, adding sex scenes seems like it would make it more immersive, haha

Actually, all the drama CDs I bought a few years back were 18+ titles, but these days I tend to purchase ones where I can simply focus on the story.
My tastes might have changed as I've gotten older, but I find myself rarely listening to CDs that are nothing but bed scenes.

Most of the time, I prefer aimed at adults.
However, on very rare occasions when I'm not really in the mood but want to lose myself in something I'll listen to suitable for all ages.
Well, I usually end up feeling like it's not enough, so I end up listening to aimed at adults after all

I enjoy otome drama CDs with a clear beginning, development, climax, and resolution, especially official releases. All-ages CDs are generally good, at least the character design and storytelling are engaging.

Some R18 otome CDs lack narrative depth. For example, fan-made works often feature numerous sex scenes or intimate moments, but they're all very similar.

The heroines often end up being brainwashed, forced into a shared dependence, or transformed into something inhuman—it's all rather absurd. A few are truly excellent and worth revisiting.

But when I'm exhausted from work and just want to relax, I listen to R18 tracks until I fall asleep, haha.

I wish cds had both!! Like, peak storyline with r18 scenes throughout would be SO GOOD. Its such a treat when you get really invested in an interesting plot AND get served some delicious r18 scenes at the same time. Like it elevates the experience so much. Genuinely need reccomendations for cds like these because they are SPARSE

I like R18CDs with a solid story the most!
It's boring without Scene R18, and on the other hand, it's uncomfortable if there's only Scene R18

Both are important. A story with only sex scenes and no plot would be quite boring. But nowadays, the storylines of R18 CDs are too homogeneous; some are like the same script with just the character names changed. I prefer R18 CDs with horror and folk themes.

When it comes to audio content, I tend to gravitate toward "18+" drama CDs that offer more intense stimulation. Personally, I prefer experiencing the story itself through otome games; I feel like there are limitations to just listening to it. Oh, but that's just my own take!

I actually prefer a bit of both! I enjoy 18+ content, but not too much—I still like having a good storyline to keep things interesting.
