normally, anyone would never ask whether they should DL the game now or after the patch is out, because torrent seed is not always as much as and as fast as when the game just released, this same condition is even worse on file hosted in filehosting; some of the game only lasted for 2 weeks before being deleted because of DMCA policy.

that is why no normal people asked question about DLing the game now or after the patch released; they DL the game as soon as they know it is being released in torrent or filehosting, and wait for the patch while DL another game that can be played now

btw, for this last game, Minatosoft use the new security soft from SoftDenchi. Unlike previous Majikoi A patches that released around 1 month after the game, this time the patches might take more time to be created, because the main.bin is now used as a .dll to get the entry point into execution.

I think you misunderstood me.
I'm not saying they shouldn't make these fandisks or that people can't like other heroines from Majikoi or MajikoiS.
I'm saying that if for example they announce, like in A4 a Homura fandisk, than I'm not sure what the reason it to put in a one or two cg route for the "can't even remember what their names where" those brown twins, well the female one that is. Now that is pointless and takes away resourses from the fandisk's supposed heroine.
I mean if so many people wanted to see that brown girl "for lack of a better name" than I suppose minatosoft would have made a fandisk with her, and if they did that, than I wouldn't want to see a pointless two cg route for Homura in it. Even tough I liked her story in A4.

Regarding my reply, I apologize for jumping to conclusions. Also, thank you for taking the time to clear up my misunderstanding

As for how they handled it, I can't really tell you what would've turned out. If you're looking for more of a storyline, then honestly a full game would've been better. In other words, we're always gonna want more. As for the extra routes and such, the alternative would've been a more linear route choice. After all, the A series heroines had very exclusive routes from each other. I'm not sure how people would've handled a majikoi with no choices aside from mid-route ones (like if margit has a collar or not, etc). In the end, though, I did not pay for the game, and I have no right to complain which is why I won't. If I ever get the chance, I'll buy a legit copy. But until then, I'm just grateful I get to see Margit, Takae and Yoshitsune again.

On a lighter note, do you guys think Yoichi's finally gonna call Yamato 'Odin'? XD

So there will be no patch releasing soon then. Uh, I feel a bit disappointed.. But now the game is already saved in HDD, i can only wait for the patch then.

Tried using A-4 main.exe the game started up but stopped working after entering loading screen lol.

The attachment is just a picture of the game running ?

I had the Nexas bug in other A games and it only happened when I went into the scene replay screen, otherwise the games were fine, maybe it's the same here ?

Consider what other programs or processes may be running, try running other programs like applocale as well. I can't really give you a working answer as I've never encountered this. Then again, it may be similar to previous crashes where the crack just stops working one day. Try clearing any majikoi data (or just transfer everything to some external drive) then try redownloading a different version of the crack. If you wish, you may try redownloading the game (though considering its size this should be a last resort). There were instances where downloading a different crack version or clearing save data actually worked for me. There was one time when transferring the whole game directory into an external hdd actually started it. That, or actually installing the game instead of just unzipping the rar file. If you wish, you may try installing into the external as well. Again, I can't guarantee anything. Sorry.

BTW, the crack I used was the datafile version I think. The one that downloaded a downloader in order to download the real file.

The game and crack work fine for me, and I didn't encounter any issue playing the whole Takae route. It's not installed in C:\Program Files either, in fact it's not installed at all, I just extracted the torrent archive and play it as is. I'm not sure what the problem could be, but make sure you extract both files from the crack archive, the original directory only contains "まじこいＡ－５.exe" but for the crack to work you need both the new "まじこいＡ－５.exe" and "main.bin" in the game's directory. I did have to add the cracked .exe to my antivirus exceptions list since it was triggering it.

It says it couldn't read the settings file. This is done during the crack process normally, you choose one of the older games' settings and transfer it to A-5.

At least that's how it went for me, had a list of other A games I had installed and just had to pick one to copy.

I managed to replicate that error by removing the config.pac file so I guess it might work if I give you mine ? Worth a try, download it and put it in your Majikoi folder:

I got some problems with the patch as well, took me some time to get it through the antivirus (I use Avast), after that I got the Nexas error when launching it too, had to replace the crack from the original rar twice for it to work and after launching the game, it makes the whole thing run with a lot of lag and crashes occasionally as well, sometimes out of nowhere, sometimes with the nexas error again.

I am using admin rights as well, Windows 7 x86, antivirus stopped and japanese settings are on, the previous Majikoi games (original, S and A-1 to 4) all work without those same problems.

Like kzel, I am running the game directly from the torrent folder after unzipping it, no installation done.

Too many people complaining in here, I appreciate the variety the game is offering, these are short stories that serve not purpose but being a bonus to majikoi fans. I feel people should complain when there´s something the game is lacking or needs improvement. These are short stories that you can clear in 2 or 3 hours, what exactly are you expecting?
