  1. Do you play games in Early Access, or wait for the full release?

I will definitely wait for the full release. Unfortunately, I found most of the early access games are failing me either due to overload bugs or incomplete. So I would rather to wait for the full release than playing early access then pick up later and finish it.
  2. How do you pick your otome game?

Me too. The art/visual plays a huge role for my first impression definitely. Then I will look for the plot and see if it attracts me. If both look good enough to me I will go and play the game.
  3. Storage

I don't trust clout storage, so I save my collection in external hard drives. I used to burn my own discs but the storage is too limited with disc. Even though hard drives are the always safe, so I make sure to check on them once a while.
  4. What otome game do you find yourself replaying again and again?

Definitely Kiniro no Corda, Harukanaru Toki no Naka de, Angelique and Tokimeki Memorial GS series. Because their game systems are so playful and everytime I replay them I still find them so interesting.
  5. Who is your the most favorite voice actor?

My favorite voice actors are Akira Ishida, Shinozawa Toshikazu, Masakazu Morita, and Koyasu Takehito. If I can only pick one then it would be Akira Ishida.
  6. Has a spoiler ever made you change your route or your favorite character while playing?

No, a spoiler won't make any changes for me while playing. Personally I would even go look for spoilers if I sort lost my interests after playing the common routes. I often go straight for the favorite character by its visual art. If I see any spoilers before I start the route, I still would...
  7. do you follow recommended route order when playing?

I usually go for the character that visually attracts me the most first. But if the official has a forced route unlock system, then most of the time I would fastforward the routes that I'm not interested until the character that I'm interested in.
  8. Happy vs. Bad Endings, which do you prefer to play first?

Depending on the length of the game. If the game is short and it's just plain visual novel, I usually go for the bad endings first, and leave the happy/true endings till the last so my last impression about the game will be something happy lol. But if the game is quite long and has simulation or...
  9. What's the game you're waiting for the most?

So far I'm looking forward to the following new releases: Sullyland Nursery Rhyme: the previews look so stunning and attractive. Le Mirage Mystique: graphics are so pretty and heroine is so beautiful. Yuukoku no Machi no GLOBSTER by Takuyo Co.: the developer is so good at its unique concept...
  10. would you like to see your favorite otome game get an anime adaptation?

Personally I would love to see my favorite otome game get an anime adaptation because it's great to see them in multi actions while VN games are in one dimension only. I would always followup and watch the anime when it released. But unfortunately, I felt most anime adaption titles are not quite...

Question My thread somehow was removed for no reason

Thank you so much for the explanation and taking the time to look into my question. I was afraid that if there were any violations that I missed because my previous thread was approved quite fast. Again, thank you!

Question My thread somehow was removed for no reason

I posted a new thread a while ago under Otomo Games to share a switch game. After I posted it, it appeared in the NORMAL THREADS section with under approval sign. But now my thread totally disappeared. I assume it was deleted by the moderator but somehow I didn't receive any messages. Any...
  13. When Did You First Discover Otome and How Did You Get Into It?

For me, the very first game I played was Angelique Special which was released on windows platform back in 2000s. :) My dad bought me the physical disc. I was first drawn to the gorgous art and game system. Back then I didn't even know there's an otome game genre. When I first played it on PC, I...
  14. Quality of Life - UI/features in BL/Otome VNs that should be standard

Totally agree with all the points that you and previously mentioned. Being able to customize the font and background color such as color, transparency level are really important to me as I often switch platforms back and forth. I have played a few VN games that allow you to "save" whatever the...
  15. Corrupted WinRAR Files on Switch games

Maybe try to rename the first portion until.7z.001 exactly the same as part002 and 003 (i.e. [AS][ZH] RedBell-CH.7z.001) so that the file name is consistent. Then right-click the part 001 and extract. The program should recognize the rest parts. If that doesn't work, try to use another...
  16. What was the first otome game that hooked you, and what made you go "okay I need more of this"?

The very first game I played was Angelique Special which was released on windows platform back in 2000s lol and I still own the physical disc. I was first drawn to the gorgous art and game system. When I first played it on PC, I was so surprised that the game has an full animated-intro, and it...
  17. Do you have any preference (game content, tropes, characters, seiyuus, characters' personalities, looks) that will make you dive into the game?

I always look at the visual art/character design for my first impression. If the art can draw my attention, I will then look up the storyline and background. I prefer fantasy and classic settings. In addition, game system is also a very important contributor to me as there are too many new...
  18. Otome Game tracker: koilog

Wow, this is really helpful especially I like to jump among otome games when I finish the first few routes. Thank you for sharing!
  19. What controller do you use to play otome games?

Wow, this one is supper cute and looks lightweighted. I own a few handheld game consoles and I like PSV and Switch the most to play otome games because of the screen quality and weight. Steam Deck is a bit too heavy for me, so sometimes I will pair it with a PS controller to play some PC otome...
  20. Everyone's favorite otome game/recommendations?

My all time favorite otome games are: Angelique Series アンジェリーク (the very first otome game) Harukanaru Toki Series 遙かなる時空の中で Kin'iro no Corda Series 金色のコルダ Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side Series All of them are not just Visual Novel otome games, each has its own unique mechanism such has RPG...
