Omg, I've always wanted to jump into emulation but I was always a little hesitant. Never thought of emulating on my phone (surprisingly enough). Thank you sm!
Thank you for your insight! It sucks that it has to be this way... and it's hard not to get pulled in even when you're aware of it. It kind of takes away from just enjoying the game for what it is. I guess all we can really do is stay aware and set our own limits, but yeah… it's frustrating that...
I've recently tried to look for mobile otome games since I tend to commute on the train every day and wanted to play something on my phone. Unfortunately I've come to see many otome games priorities gems to make certain choices or clocks that limit the amount of story you can read.
I understand...
I love journalling so whenever I play a game I usually write my thoughts and reviews in my journal. I like looking back at them and seeing how I felt about a certain character or plot. It's all really messy, but its a good way to make space for my brain and also record some memories :)
Sounds like a cool idea! I think it'd be fascinating to experience once, but having a robot version "stay by your side" might feel a bit uncanny after a while...
Usually I only play for LI's I like and avoid those with tropes I don't really prefer but once in a while I end up 100% a game when I get too invested!
Me too! I feel like their art styles are pretty good and unique for each game which makes them pretty recognizeable from afar.
I like togainu no chi's art style out of all of Nitro + chiral though, its edgy and has a very vintage-ish look which I like. Lamento has the same artist, Kana Tatana...
Sometimes! I think whenever I'm in an emotional scene I tend to use auto play. I know people say its too slow but I quite like the slow tension it builds, and I take a while to read sometimes too so it definitely helps
I'm unfortunately someone who gets bored pretty quickly. Whenever I take up a new game I often get the feeling of playing another. Nothing wrong with switching out between two or more games at a time! It's just how I prefer to play and what my mood wants to play. Some days reading a dark story...
Unfortunately most artbooks are soo expensive including shipping fees 😭 If there's ever a digital artbook of a game I enjoyed I'll definitely buy it! But having a physical copy is better to collect in my opinion
It depends on the character and their chemistry with the MC. How the character looks also is important! I like pretty faces so as long as they look good I don't really care if they're evil or good in an otome
Overly possessive and jealous characters. It just irks me a little, I get being jealous and wanting your partner for yourself but not up to the point of violence. Wanting to kill someone for looking at your partner is a little overkill 😭 I'm okay with yanderes though since the concept of the...
Art style! I'm very picky when it comes to the art style, and it can definitely put me off from playing a game. I'm more into the anime-ish style which feels more comfortable to look at in my opinion. Didn't really like western-ish art styles until recently!
THIS IS THE WORSTT 😭😭😭 It feels like they end up not liking the MC for who they are and instead looks for their past lover instead. I usually try not to play into their routes because I know it'll just break my heart because they truly love someone else. Unless that character finally matures...
Set personality!!! Sometimes a "no personality" MC can be a bit bland and sometimes their choices and words doesn't really define them as a proper character, and I find it hard to see that the romanceable characters falling in love with an mc that's basically a blank sheet. Those with unique...
It's such a shame because the characters I like most out of an otome end up being non-romanceable... It feels more like a waste to make such a handsome character and then not have a route for them.
Its lowkey a love-hate relationship. I hate how some games fully take advantage of the gacha system to make their players spend a ton of money or they either have to grind/wait for a LONGG time. It's annoying but I don't mind it personally. That adrenaline rush of pulling for characters or items...
