I felt this in so many otome games I can't list them all one by one 😭
But the one I'm immediately thought of is from this game called Gakuen Tokkyu Hotokenser. It's a fun game but there's definitely some parts I wish get more fleshed out and one of them is Eru. Ultimately he never got the...
very much yes! there are a lot of aspects that make me get an otomege, sometimes it's the writer, sometimes the art/visual, and more often than not if I see Ishikawa Kaito in the cast I buy immediately. Even if the game turns out not that great it's still worth.
Sometimes it's recommended by the game dev themselves in their blog. There are times where I disagree with certain route order by them or by the guide makers though ^^
There are certain otome games I wish has enforced route order, most egregious being Shinigami to Shoujo, that's why I look them up.
agree with everyone here, Cafe Enchante, Nightshade / Hyakka Hyakurou Sengoku Ninpouchou are games I enjoy so much I wish it has FD for more fluffy moments
Before I learned enough jp I used photo the text and have google translate lens do the job or draw the kanji I do not know one by one in google translate. And dictionary. Very ineffective compared to now
Now I just use my brain and sometimes dictionary, or textractor when certain old VN don't...
Matsuoka Yoshitsugu as Alice in Taisho x Alice is always one of his best role for me. TsudaKen as Kazama in Hakuouki is also really good and one of the reason I ended up liking Kazama a lot. As for in general I love Toyonaga Toshiyuki's range in all of his otome game roles
Also responding to...
I usually try to commit to only one until I 100% that one game, because if I switch to another game to read I will forget about that previous game and I have to start all over again 😥
But in reality if the game really bores me I sometimes switch to another game with more light hearted or fast...
replaying tokimemo! I wanna go back to distoco some day soon but while I have been enjoying it, the pacing has been really slow and I need a lighter game
Much like my love for shoujosei manga with female MC, in otome games I love the perspective of a female protagonist navigating the world around her, meeting a guy (or several), and grow from her journey.
It's very difficult to describe why they feel that way to me, but having played many types...
I'm honestly really interested in more of them! I believe that OELVN has a lot of great stuffs and I esp love ebihime's works. There is this one otome game I've been eye-ing but haven't got to buy myself called Gilded Shadows.
So yeah I really wanna experience more otome OELVN, one of these...
I'm super hyped for:
Sullyland, the school horror vibe looks very promising
MIX DUNK, the art and premise looks interesting!
le mirage mystique, I just really love oyo-sensei's art
Navigatore by primula, and hopefully an update on Qualia but I will patiently wait
definitely key la box!
on OELVN...
This is literally the reason I learned japanese seriously. The amount of localized title back when I got into otome games are very low 😭
I'm happy there are a lot of localized titles now though!
It depends for me, if in a Japan setting esp school setting I prefer they leave in the honorifics cuz it's usually gonna be plot significant. If they are not speaking Japanese and the world is decidedly not Japanese then having a closer equivalent is usually better.
However, regardless of...
Oh yeah! I consider the length of common route with its ratio towards the total length of the vn as a whole so for example I consider Gensou Kissa Enchante which have a long playtime to have a longer common route even though the individual routes are quite lengthy too. It can also be like Jack...
