Not important at all, i actually prefer only story or story with very minimal gameplay/combat....etc. It actually takes me out of the story and the world and frustrates me if they are too hard to deal with.
I like it when the other routes are done well so it doesn't feel like a waste to play them, if i can enjoy all routes while still knowing one is true/fated/cannon then in my opinion it's worth it. But if they are unbalanced and the others don't feel like real LIs then i dislike the idea...
No actually, i prefer my otome/visual novels to have minimal to No combat/minigames mechanics. It really takes me out of the game and the story. But i've played a few VNs with combat mechanics with the option to skip them so that's what i prefer to do
I'm a big fan of fantasy im everything, games, movies, books.....etc
So for me I prefer fantasy but saying that, if the story is good i can enjoy a regular setting as well
Tsundere and Mayadere for me. I don't actually like it when the LI starts off very lovey and sweet to MC. But if they start as cold, tough characters that soften later i love it!
I also prefer historical and fantasy based setting, i play modern and sci-fi as well but if i have to choose between 2 games which to play first i'd definitely choose the historical/fantasy one over any other
You can just join any discussion or answer some questions that people are asking in the otome corner. It's actually really fun to join the discussion and it led me to discover many new games that I didn't know existed before so it's a win win in my opinion.
I usually wait for full release except in cases where the early access offers full routes one by one and i know the developer's style and really love the game, art...etc
Same, in real life i hate the smell of cigarettes and can't stand to be near someone who smokes, but in games i love the character who smokes!!!!!! and i really can't logically explain it lol 😂 😂
Yeah, i like when it's fully voiced but i play a lot of VNs that have no voice acting. For me the appeal is reading the story and looking at the art, the voice acting is like an extra cherry on top, I enjoy it if it's there but it won't stop me from enjoying the game if it's not.
