I have never tried them, and i doubt it is going to replace otome games. There is a huge difference in a story created by people with love and a chat with a computer that most likely stole material from other works. Then again if people enjoy them then let them have fun.

I do read them, because i always want to know if there is enough romance in it, also to read about the main character. I do find that good reviews raises my expectations for a game and it can lead to disapointment.

It doesn't matter to me if it is voiced or not, as long as it has a good story i will play it. If you only play games with voice acting you are missing out on amazing western visual novels, also choice of games and twine games.

I would recommend to start with the classic code realize series. if you like focus on the romance go for olympia soiree. If you want some heartache go for hakuoki, if you want adventure go for bustafellows, for comedy cupid parasite. For western otome games i like Ebon light.

I like them, though it is pretty rare in major otome games and when it does happen in is at the very end. I really enjoyed the stories in Finally in love again with main character falling pregnant, having chilren, and the opposite thing, the struglle of not being able to conceive and acceptance...

If her name is voiced then i would leave it default anyway, but if it is one one those unvoiced games then it annoys me, and i put that game on the low priority list to play.

I like tsunderes and kuuderes, i love it when MCs make them blush. Also i like characters who are unapologetically in love with the main character and shows it.

I mix it up i will play a route of one game than another from another, it might take me a few years to finish a game. Sometimes a game grips me with a good engaging story and i will focus only at that game.

If they are a love interest i want them to sound like a male, they can be voiced by women i don't care as long as they don't sound too feminine. With the amount of anime i have watched i know there are lot women who voiced male characters and they did a amazing job.

I will play the fan disk. I have pretty good memory so i tend to remember the story pretty well. I might replay a game if it is REALLY good some years later, when i hopefully forgot some things.

Not really a fan of it, it would only make me wonder why can't our MC date him. Also as others have said i would accept it if it is needed for the plot reasons. Though i did find the Owen sub plot pretty cute.

It is not a otome game but amare, but perfumare and fool me once from pdrrook are my favorites. This author writes characters so well, i love characters like Reed.

I agree it is not considered otome anymore, but amare. I do enjoy playing them, but it often feels like the gender choice doesn't matter and my character seems to be treated like a man.
