would you like to see your favorite otome game get an anime adaptation?

I'd definitely love to see more otome games get anime adaptations! I think it could be a really nice way to introduce these stories to people who don't usually play visual novels.

Of course, I'd be a little nervous about the adaptation too 😂 Otome games have so much content that I feel like it would be really difficult to fit everything into a 12-episode anime without cutting a lot of things out. Still, I'd be very curious to see it! 👀

Without a sufficient budget and without putting real thought into how to properly interpret and translate the story structure to fit animation as a medium,
I really don't want to see a work I love so deeply get butchered...

If an LI's most compelling qualities and the logic behind their actions aren't properly portrayed or developed, and instead they're reduced to a patchwork of stereotypical traits,
with their behavior becoming fragmented and inconsistent, it's heartbreaking.

When the heroine I love is supposed to have a very strong and resilient personality,
but the anime adaptation weakens that aspect of her,
all I can do is clutch my heart and tremble at rock bottom...

And when an LI whose facial expressions are so distinctive in the game is just walking around in the anime looking completely unrecognizable...honestly, it makes my soul leave my body...

I know that budget would be an issue to do each one, but I've wished for so long to have the LIs I liked to have an anime adaptation of their routes :"DD I get so frustrated each time knowing that they would never get one (T_T)

While it would be cool in theory, I just cannot see it being done in a satisfactory manner. They would either have to cut out some scenes, rewrite some of the story so it would fit in an anime adaption or just stick to one route, which would usually be the poster boy. I haven't even talked about the budget which is a whole other can of worms 😅

I would love animated promotional materials though, I've seen it done for some manga and gacha before and I think it would be a lovely alternative even though it would probably be around less than a minute in length.

I would like it. But I think it wouldn't be good. It isn't about the expectation in quality but rather how the story in adaptation will take.
There will be a drama if they take any route as canon in anime. If they will go safe option by making its story vaguely, it will be a bit unsatisfying or disappointing for the lack of better word?
So, I'm looking forward to seeing it while preparing for its mediocrity.

I'm looking forward to an anime adaptation. It would make me really happy to see my favorite characters and voice actors expand on the story based on the original source material. Besides, an anime adaptation is far less prone to OOC than a live‑action film.

I first got into otome games because I watched otome‑themed anime. That said, I'm not really keen on seeing games get adapted into anime. A lot of the recent adaptations feel rather rushed and poorly made. Compared to the gorgeous character art in the original games, they can be pretty disappointing.

Personally for me, I would love love LOVE to see Nightshade get an anime adaptation. The voice actors in this game really knocked it out of the park with their acting, and I especially would love to see Wataru Hatano showcasing his LI voice to a larger audience <3

It's great to see more otome games get an anime adaptation, no matter personal preference of the games, because it's great to see the otome game funs gets more and more. But actually otome game animation are not generally as good as those GAL games, for example, those from Keys. Hope in the future there will be great otome game animation that will attractive a larger group of anime funs~

Yes, definitely! I'd love to see my favorite otome game get an anime adaptation. It would be really exciting to see the characters and story come to life, especially some of the scenes that I really liked in the game. As long as the adaptation stays faithful to the original story, I'd definitely watch it!

Short answer: no. Long answer: PLEASE, no
Directors just can't seem to make good adaptations of otome visual novels, and the animation quality is pretty damn low too.

I usually don't like games being adapted into anime. I like to adapt anime into games, as anime feels very limited. I prefer games, where I can choose my favorite male lead.

The game has lots of characters, and within them, the routes branch out in many different ways. So if the game gets animated, there will be way too many parts left out, so I'm not really keen on having it animated. Even when books are adapted into videos, they include lots of adaptations and omissions, but the main character and the overall flow don't change. But the game's storylines change so much that each route and protagonist feel like a completely different work

i always view Nightshade like an anime from their interaction/banter between each characters and i really hope they adapt it to be an anime! especially the fight scene, the hide and seek between Enju and her LI with their pursuer, and the childhood memory scene! that would be very lovely to view it as an anime and not in ppt movement, pls anime studio do your magic!
