Which translator do YOU use? 👀

I mainly use the Luna translator. Or sometimes I use Papago. It has pretty good text recognition.

I am mostly using my brain, but I use Papago image translate on my phone whenever I run into difficult words.

I'm using the LunaTranslator tool with large language model translation APIs, and the translation quality is good

My journey was straight from AGTH and Atlas to LLM, due to a long pause. And oh boy, it's def a gamechanger.)

I haven't really messed around with a lot, but I've been using LunaTranslator for a good while and it's been working! If there are better translators out there I'd love to see any suggestions.

I use Luna mainly because I don't know any other translator out there, and because it's frequently recommended within the vn community.

I'm using LunaTranslator. I've studied some Japanese on my own, and Luna helps me understand most Japanese games. If something still doesn't read smoothly, I'll look it up myself using a translation tool. Using the translation optimization option to fix certain game-specific terms makes the translations much more accurate.:akazukin_ok:

Initially, we used VNR, and subsequently, we employed Luna, ETFR, PandaOCR, and Textractor
Currently, DangoTranslator is still the most frequently used one
To be honest, when I first didn't know about OBS, I played Japanese Switch games and tried to translate them using Google Camera on my phone throughout the entire process

I use several methods. The first time I used Visual Novel Reader; I didn't know what to do, but somehow I made it work. However, its translation was poor, so I decided to pause for a while until better tools came out. After that, I used Capture2Text briefly (only for games that were in English), and then I made the leap to Textractor (or ITHVN) + Sugoi (DeepL). After that, I switched to Luna + DeepL, and later I'll try LLM (Gemma 3.0). But I'm learning Japanese little by little (it's already helped me when the translator hasn't even translated it), so in general, I use all those tools depending on the situation (except Visual Novel Reader).

I used AGTH before, and then Textractor. I tried to study Japanese for a long time and got N3 in JLPT but I'm still not good in Kanji and gramma.
Maybe I'll try Luna. I just heard about this one.
Thank you every one here in this thread. ^^

Luna Translator is definitely the first choice! I used to mess around with VNR—it worked at first, but just a slight change to the settings would break it again.🤯
