Do you finish all routes or only your favorites?

If it adds something, I usually read everything (especially in games that have a lot of value in terms of plot), but if it's skippable, boring, or just a regular dating game, I commit the sin of skipping it. It would have to be a very tortuous and horrible route for me to do that.

usually my favorites only, but if there is a true route that's protagonist centric after having completed all the other LI routes, i will push through if i really like the protagonist.

I play all the routes because I believe that a game isn't complete without that because all routes contribute some way toward the overall work and narrative of the game. Even if I prefer a certain route, the other routes would only enhance it because it would highlight the individuality of every love interest (including of the routes I like more), different facets of the MC, and the specific themes of each route through contrast. Like is this characterisation/story element something unique to this character that I should view as something important to them in particular, or is it shared amongst other characters (and what does this say about the themes)? It helps to understand each individual character and route better by defining each theme, etc, more clearly through what is shared and what is unique.

Not to mention how each route enhances and contributes to the overall narrative and themes (at least it should), with many games not revealing the full story through only individual routes but instead the entire game as a whole, requiring all the routes to be seen. At least the subtle nuances will only be understood after seeing everything, even if routes do (and should) make sense when taken by themselves as standalone stories. I am also a completionist and want to see everything a work has to offer, and I feel like it's a way for me to respect the creators and writers to read everything they crafted - if they wrote it in, then I would consider it important to the work in some way. Even if it's small, I want to know every bit of information. Nothing is filler to me.

I complete them all mainly because I tend to gravitate toward games that have a true ending, so even against my will, I read everything. If it doesn't have a true ending, the only reason I wouldn't finish a route would be because the LI really has no redeeming qualities.

I usually try to finish all the routes because important plot details are only revealed in certain routes so completing them all can make the overall story more satisfying. But if there's a route I'm really really not interested in I might skim or skip through parts of it just to get to the next one asap. I find myself getting burnt out if I force myself too much

I'll look at the character images first before making a decision. If certain characters require completing other routes to unlock, I'll skip the routes I'm not interested in.

I always try and play all of them. If I don't it's because I've dropped the game entirely. The only exception is maybe very old games that have tons of love interests, sometimes there isn't much new content in each those routes so it's not worth doing them all.
Even if I don't like a character at first glance theres's a chance their route will make me turn around on them, so I don't want to miss out on that. I also like how a VN builds up to it's true route if it has one.

I always complete all the routes, even if it gets really boring… I just can't bring myself to drop a game, even if it takes me weeks to finish it. The only one where I played just the route I was interested in was Radiant Tale, and it was really hard to stop there, but the game just wasn't my style.

I finish all routes, I'm a completionist, it bugs me when I leave something incomplete, but through that I tend to find unexpected fun through it though

I like finishing all routes for that sweet sweet 100% completion. If it's a fandisc I might just go for the favorites or save em for last... Depends on if I'm up for it or not.

Most of the time, I complete the game's storyline, except when the storyline does not align with my preferences. If there is a storyline lock and the story of the guide character does not suit my taste, I will press SIKP to skip the plot.

我会只玩自己喜欢的角色的线路,因为再玩其他的线路会有一种婚外情的感觉,非常奇怪߹ ߹

I will only play the routes of the characters I like, because playing other routes would feel like an affair, which is very strange߹ ߹

I'm 100% a completionist! I can't consider myself done with a game if I can't play it fully. Sometimes it takes me a long time or even years to complete a game, but until then I don't think I'm really done with it. When I like something I like to digest every part of it lmao! Like a little mouse nibbling at their cheese or something….? Ahhaahahah

I only played my favorite LIs story when I first started playing otome in the past. Then, I found that the story of others also really good too so now I usually play all the routes.

sometimes i'll try to do all of them if i really like the game but most of the time i only play the stuff i'm interested in because some of the routes are just way too boring for me to hold my interest and keep reading when i have other stuff to do

I absolutely HAVE to finish every route, even if I'm very ambivalent on the love interest. I feel like I'm disrespecting the writers/VA's when I skip their work, if that makes sense? Plus I never want to be lacking any story content, no matter how small. Even so, there's been a few I had to stop using Auto (my preferred way to read) and just clicking though the dialogue as I read without finishing the voicelines, because the character was grating on me so bad. Sorry, Masamune Norn9 :/

All characters, scenes and ending, because i want all the context of the story to have a better opinion

I try to complete all the routes, but when a route is badly written (or I dislike/am not interested in the LI) I tend to either abandon the route or just skip through it if there's a locked route that requires finishing others first

i like to complete all the routes bc i feel like if i only play my favorites im missing a big part of the story

It depends on the platform and the overall quality of the title. PC, Switch, and PlayStation products are achieved to 100% completion, but I can finish only 1 route in cheap mobile apps.
