I agree it is not considered otome anymore, but amare. I do enjoy playing them, but it often feels like the gender choice doesn't matter and my character seems to be treated like a man.

If i liked the game then i would replay it again with proper localization, heck eventually i am going to replay hakuoki for the fourth time, because the steam version translation was questionable, and the switch version should hopefully have better translation.

I like happy ends, i will only give bad endings a go if it is necessary to unlock something or if a review said that it is really good.

I don't want the story spoiled, but i like to see the cgs so i know what to look forward too. Also i like to find out what kind of personalities love interests have.

Not a fan of oblivious main characters who take forever to catch on that someone has feeling for her, also hate it when someone bullies them and they don't do anything about it or even worse the bully gets easily forgiven.

Tsundere and kuudere. If a character is standoffish it always makes me want to go after them first.

Unless it is a game with no bad endings i will always use a guide, because i don't want to miss scenes with a character i am going for.

Hard to say, maybe jack jeanne or hakuoki with all the new characters.

I am not into women so if it is a romantic route i just skip it, if it is a friendship route like Jaehee i will try reading it.

Variable barricade, i read a review praising Hibari, but i ended up disliking her. I did finish the game though because of the beautiful art.
