(but also, in all seriousness, thank you for the explanation - I find that kind of breakdown fascinating, it's (amazing? depressing?) how much nuance that gets lost in translation)

I'm with you there. Steam is a convenient place to purchase games and keep a full library. I do think they're getting a bit better as time goes on, but their approval process still leaves something to be desired. (I'm going to be bitter about *This Game is Not Real until the end of time... I'm...

First up, thank you for the reply. I get long-winded debating this kind of stuff, so I'll apologize in advance. Nei no Machi isn't on my list of confusion and complaint for that specific reason - there is no uncensored patch anywhere because the publisher doesn't put out uncensored games. I am...

I guess it's more that Steam is so inconsistent with what is allowed and what isn't. I've commented on this before, but like: Dramatical Murder (Nitro+CHIRal / JAST) - only sold on Steam censored, so you have to go buy their uncensored patch on JAST's website. The Symbiant (HeartCoreDev) -...

Found this in my Steamfeed today. First I'm hearing about it coming out, mid-November: Noctilucent: Before Dawn – Collector's Edition Seriously, not sure how this got slated for a Steam release from Erolabs, what with all the uncensored peens. But here we are.

Steam's Autumn sale is happening right now, and I've been talking myself in and out of buying The House in Fata Morgana. I want it... but I'm also a little afraid it's going to eat my life for a while.

It depends on how. um. INTENSELY the ear in question is being attacked. I'm okay with a little, but when it sounds like someone is slobbering all over my ear like an excitable golden retriever, I fast-forward. I cannot abide slurping sounds. Ugh.

My own doodle. A zombie cupcake (with raspberry filling).

I tend to purchase localized games and games that were originally developed in English. If it's in Japanese, I generally won't pay for it until the localization becomes available, since I don't really want to pay for it twice. I have spent money on mobile games before, but it's very easy to...

So, it's been a little while since there was an update regarding new and upcoming games and things. I'm not very up to date on the Japanese devs stuff, but here's some stuff for people to (maybe) look forward to. Also, please note I did include a couple of games that are BYOG...

It really IS baffling. Like, sir, my file is named "af-2.zip" and is password protected. Where exactly are the red flags you're seeing, because you shouldn't even be able to OPEN it??

You're kind of missing the point, I think? Your original question asked if people here make it a point to use the worst file-hosting sites, and while "worst" is subjective, my response offered a reason why people might use file-hosting sites that you might not like. For someone who uploads...

Oof. I play... a lot of games  RPG, JRPG, puzzle, cozy... some personal favorites include Baldur's Gate 3, Expedition 33, the Mass Effect trilogy, Cyberpunk 2077, the Persona series, the Dragon Age franchise, Stardew Valley, Core Keeper, Witcher 3, Final Fantasy VII, Chrono Trigger, Crime...

I think a lot of it has to do with what's available for free. For example, the two sites I use are mediafire and mega, but there are some definite limitations. A free account with mediafire gives you 10GB - it's great for smaller files because the links last a long time. But if you're using a...

Combat is definitely one thing that can spice up gameplay a bit, as long as the mechanics are interesting and fun. I don't mind it in an otome at all, but that sort of starts to warp and blur the lines what KIND of game you're actually playing. (Not that I personally mind - I like all kinds of...
