What’s your favorite Otome CD trope and what made you love it?

For me, it's the childhood friend trope. It's such a simple, basic trope, but umm… I'm not really sure why I like it. I just love it whether it's a childhood friend who's younger or one who's older than mc

Maybe it's because right from the beginning, there's already that feeling of familiarity between the characters, so there's no need for a lot of buildup. And I especially love it when it gets to the part where they start getting jealous

Definitely a childhood friend! lol other than that, probably yandere, submissive man, and a reverse harem~ Oh, I love interspecies too! Like elves or beasts, lmao while forbidden things sometimes caught my eye (like Kindan Jouji, Kareshi/Danna Igai series).

i love coworker trope! especially if senpai x kouhai trope or boss x staff! if they have age gap, that's even better. i love drama cd character that the older one act so mature and calm. Especially when they're boss, they helping us or providing us mentally and financially and the told us to not to work too hard, omg im melting~

I like the stories of childhood sweethearts and childhood playmates. They know each other, are familiar with each other's strengths and weaknesses, and even little secrets and habits that are not even known. You can get along easily, without pressure, and you can also joke with each other.

Another type is to love and kill each other: they are familiar with each other, but they can't be together because of their identity or external complex factors. They can only be enemies, which feels very exciting.

Probably playboy/delinquent-type characters falling. It's the realization of "oh damn he's been messing around his whole life and never felt this". Works even better if they become obsessive and heroine doesn't believe them in the slightest.

And another one that is very similar - gods/non-humans doing the same thing. The flavor is slightly different tho!! I just cannot resist the appeal of an inherently emotionless or high and mighty character suddenly experiencing a foreign (to them) emotion（⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝）

+1 for the delinquents, especially the ones who are super brash and ore-sama-like, and sound very menacing when theyre at work but then have a soft side for the heroine INJECT THAT RIGHT INTO MY VEINS

I think one of my favorites is the trope where a cold or womanizing character ends up falling in love with the heroine and completely changes because of her. I really like when someone who initially doesn't take relationships seriously ends up genuinely falling in love and starts showing a much more sincere and vulnerable side.(⁠♡⁠ω⁠♡⁠ ⁠)⁠ ⁠~⁠♪
