What’s the longest otome / BL game you’ve ever played?

Otome I'd say tokimemo, but I think it's bc I usually count all 4 games as a really long one.
As for BL I don't really remember, probably Slow damage or Ooe.

Jack jeanne for otome bc GOSH THE PROLOGUE IS SOOO LONG. ( i call it prologue but i just mean the chapters before getting into the character route ) playing it one time is banger it has alot of interaction and is genuinely good, bit having to redo it over n over and over is ANNOYING. Since you cant really auto or skip text since there's cuts where u need to pick which sport to do to get into ur character's route so yeah. I finished 2 hours in 30hours and theres 6 lis…

Yess!!! I'm playing it right now and it's taking me foreverrr especially since my translator is acting funky with it and I can't find any guides for it.
I totally understand how you feel! I also made many mistakes before finally finishing the game after finding a walkthrough.
Here's the walkthrough I found——— http://miyutan0509.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-113.html
Maybe you could try using AI translation on the webpage and then continue playing the game?

For BL Slow Damage, i got around 40 hours and i haven't finished all routes yet, probably 'cause i keep replaying Rei's routeeee. For an otome game I don't really remember... if it counts, i played Inuyasha the secret of the cursed mask by around 30 hours (making everything again but from 30 lvl, either it would be torture) and I just go through Inuyasha's and Seshomaru's route

As of now, the longest otome I've played is Hakuoki, and the longest BL VNs I've played are Hadaka Shitsuji (sadly) and NO, THANK YOU!!!

Jack Jeanne for sure. It took me 130 hours in total to collect all CGs. I wanted to collect the trophy for reading all the scenarios of the game, but gave up after seeing I was still at 70% after all the CGs XD

Would be Hakuoki and 9 RIP, basically because of the number of routes, but absolutely loved those otome games.

Tokimeki Memorial Girl Side 1 and ken ga kimi. Both vn 60 + hours. But its took me even longer coz Ken ga kimi is jp only and TMGS 1 is stat raising. Also Himuro Reiichi is my pain........I can't finish him T.T TMGS3 was easy for me.

Virche Evermore. I feel like I never played such a long common route before. I kept thinking I made it out of it but it just kept going and going and it wasn't even fun to read.

For Clock Zero, the early school days section just didn't really click with me at first, so I felt like I was stuck there for the longest time. And don't even get me started on TMGS haha. There were times I messed up the ending even with a walkthrough open. It seriously took me so long to finish.

I think it was Shingakkou, although I don't know how much time I spent total.

Olympia Soirée, no doubt. I played at least 10 hours every day, from morning til' night. It took me about a week to get all.

I read the prologue in a single day.
Each route took me a day as well, including all the endings (Akaza's took two days tho) + one day dedicated to the extras.

It was my biggest obsession, although it's not like there was much else to do during covid lol

definitely lamento and dramatical murder for me. lamento is very long on its own, but in dramatical murder i somehow corrupted my save file WHEN I REACHED REN'S ROUTE so i had to SKIP THE ENTIRE VN FROM THE BEGINNING it was so bad even nitroskip took me like.. 10 mins per route......... and after i got corrupted saves in lamento i just gave up.............
Oh god, I have to agree with lamento I took a long break from it and it was just so long I couldn't even get back to where I was it's just sitting in my computer gathering dust </3

For Otome for sure Hakuoki, I have more than 100 hours combined on both pc versions because I got all achievements without a guide and it was painful.

As for BL, either Lamento or Hashihime, Hashihime felt way longer due to the lack of choices (which I missed it while playing). Lamento felt shorter although one route is 40h due to the choices, also the story was more engaging for me than Hashihime, mind you I'm replaying Hashihime because I forgot about the story midway

Ooe was pretty long but I felt like the time passed by quickly because I was really captivated by the story. I think most vn are pretty long in general.
