What’s the longest otome / BL game you’ve ever played?

I'm curious — what's the longest otome or BL game you've ever played? Or which one did you spend the most time on?
In my case, for Otome it was Ken ga Kimi and Hakuoki and for BL it was Hashihime of the Old Book Town and Tokyo satsujinki gakkou no kaidan, but for that time I didn't track my playtime, so I don't really remember the exact hours.

I just remember that i enjoyed a lot in the common route for both otome games XD
And the BL one, i struggled a lot in the last one... since it had forced play order.... and locked gameplay setting, it was hard to play without guide lol

Maybe Kintouka even tho I haven't even finished a single route from it lmao (I dropped both of the routes from this VN I've played with one single choice left till the end in both of them). I think the longest BL VN I've finished a route from is Shingakkou Noli Me Tangere, tho most Holicworks VNs (like Tokyo Onmyouji, Taishou Mebiusline and Tokyo 24-ku) were pretty long too.

definitely lamento and dramatical murder for me. lamento is very long on its own, but in dramatical murder i somehow corrupted my save file WHEN I REACHED REN'S ROUTE so i had to SKIP THE ENTIRE VN FROM THE BEGINNING it was so bad even nitroskip took me like.. 10 mins per route......... and after i got corrupted saves in lamento i just gave up.............

I feel like most of the games I've finished weren't all that long. Maybe about 30-40 hours? But I suppose that depends on your definition of long.
Jack Jeanne was the longest one for me, simply because I kept coming back to play a few of the songs :)

Of all the games I've played, Kintouka is the one I've been playing the longest. I stopped playing partway through, so I haven't finished it yet. It's a game that's been on my mind ever since I didn't get to see all the routes, so I'm hoping to finish it someday.

I don't usually play very long games. The longest I've played are probably UN: Logical with 60 hours of gameplay, or Collar x Malice, or Cupid Parasite. But if they're longer than that, I usually either leave them halfway through or never finish them.

The story was very long, and few choices to select? i remember that i read during hours but still dont know what was the main plot.
Althought a lot of people said that the game is good, sadly i dropped it XD.
Maybe i should pick it up and play again...

i think its worth picking up again:) although there are indeed very little choices, and the game itself is pretty old, i loved the ui and the characters a lot xdd especially konoe, this bratty lil kitty
if you have spare time.. as in spare like 70 hours.. you should def get back to it!! or at least try to:D

Yeahh, the definition of long depends on each one's reading speed or playing preferences related with the plot.
For example, above some mentioned that Kintouka is long, but i finished quite fast (maybe because i was too immersed in the story that time passed quickly. not sure)

To be honest, all games feel long to me because it takes me so long to finish any and I don't even keep track of my playing time, so I wouldn't be able to mention any game specifically, really. I'm a slow and sporadic gamer in general haha.

I think either Collar x Malice, or Code: Realize were the longest in terms of story/routes and things. But the longest game to completion that has other elements, it might be one in the Tokimeki series. It's not a ton of story, but it did take me a really long time because of the stat-raising elements.

Definitely Code Realize, the general route took so long I almost didn't finish it. WHich I'm glad I did because it's one of my favourites.

BL I'm not sure, but it's between Slow Damage and Shingakkou as well, I don't remember tracking it. Otome/BL are not very long compared to other VN genres I believe

I found Asuma's (the redhead) route pretty boring overall but I did like Shirasu's, tho a certain plot point in his route did disappoint me. I haven't played the other 2 routes yet but I do plan to play Taiga's as well eventually.

I also play mystery, yuri, eroge and galge! I've played many male-demographic eroge with around 70h of playtime. I'm into stuff like Umineko, Chaos;Head, White Album2, Soukou Akki Muramasa and other Nitroplus titles!

Ohh!!! i also have played galgames and eroges, but are the eroges that long to play? i dont remember have played any more than 20h... do you have any mystery VN to recommend?

They're not always that long, but I'd say the ones I like are bit longer than the average otoge (most otoge I've played is between 25h to 40h, but my favorite eroge titles are pretty long, Soukou Akki Muramasa has an estimated 70h playtime in vndb!)

As for mystery VNs, these are not particularly long but I recommend them: Chaos;Head Noah, House in Fata Morgana, Zero Escape Series, Kara no Shoujo, Raging Loop, Ever17, Gore Screaming Show, Tsui no Sora, Spirit Hunter Series, 25th Ward Silver Case. They all have mystery elements and I enjoyed them! Be sure to check tags and stuff to avoid any uncomfortable themes though, some of them get a bit heavy :)
