hello,
i'm not very active here but i check for some games from time to time.
today though i cant open any threads in the Otome Games, Artbooks & CDs section. i don't know if this means i did something and was blocked from that area or if there is an issue with the site? i didn't get any emails and all my alerts here are gone

You do need to stop making up numbers. I never specify any numbers. To begin with, where did you get that number 200 posts from? If it's coming from me saying to attain a certain rank, then surely for the rank. I never say to access Otome Group, requires 200 posts.

If you want to query about the ranking system, right now we are still on the old ranking system. The new ranking system will launch pretty soon, everything will be different than now. If I give you the answer today, the next update it will change.

With that said however, this is a whole different issue altogether. If you're asking because of Otome Game access, let's just say the new ranking will only affect new member after the cut-off date.

Still, we know everyone else who did evil, and we will surely weed those out.

Same. I was also told to spam specifically in the spam threads but instead it's messed me up and really stressed me out. What if because of that I can never access the otome threads again? 😭

But what to do people if the english not main language? I use tranlator or can write short sentence by myself. Idk how to help somebody with my pure english.

guys i think it's not gonna be the disaster you all think it's gonna be and in the long run it's gonna keep all of us safe from what has been happening lately, even me English is not my first language but you can help in many ways even to help other non English speaking members understand something better or have a better grasp on the rules, from what i understood even small ways of contribution are accepted and encouraged not only tech support or sharing games, and at the end f the day a lot of things are happening behind the scenes that we can't see or know for many reasons, so as @Checkmate said just be patient and if you still can't access where you want there will be reasonable ways to fix that ❤️

Was having the same issue, glad to see there is a thread on it and that I'm not the only one!
I've posted a few times but have mostly been a lurker, listed as a new member but not sure from what I've read if I will qualify or not. Still, I totally understand the reasoning behind the changes and will be waiting patiently to see what happens next.

It's been confirmed by the Admin himself that recent events aren't related to the otome forum at all though. In fact the virus came from hentai games in other areas.

We can only wait to see whether new members will be able to read the threads like before. I wonder if the default strict hide is for future threads only or retrospective too. A lot of otome games uploaders aren't active anymore, nobody's there to change it. Hopefully tho the new system keep links alive better, many old threads have dead links with no re-ups. Late-comers having to grind to a higher rank only to find unusable links isn't a very good motivation

I was also in the same situation and feeling troubled.
It's good to know I'm not alone and to have confirmed the current situation.
For now, I'll just wait quietly.

Wait I'm confused. So point 3 implies that if your account is empty, you are unlikely to get access, but then point 4 implies that eventually you will get access anyway.
Those two points contradict each other, don't they? So which one is it? 🤔

And what does '1-2-3 lurker' even mean?

Means you are unlikely to qualify.

I also have the same problem... if i click some threads, I get:

and below it says,

You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action.

I think many people have this problem right now. Just need wait more days . And better don't spam a lot in spam section. Maybe we should be more active but not spam.

I don't comment much but I have posted links to several games on here and contributed my own purchased games, so I don't understand why I'm getting my access blocked from every page. Is this a bug? Or because I'm still registered under the "new member" category? I can't even edit a post I made with a game link to add a cover because I don't have permission to view the page which feels a bit ridiculous.

Let's wait until the new system rolls out and see how it goes? We don't know the criteria of what they want to do yet.

Not bug i think . Also I saw some people with 100 + messages and 100+ reactions no access too. I'm "member" and no access eather. So i think we just need wait. And FAQ says: just wait and not spam.

I apologize for the inconvenience. You should not have been caught in this mess. I've granted you the covetted Uploader status manually.

Anyway, the first wave are unlocked for many users. If you still don't see it, you need to participate a bit more. I'll continue to observe everything and we certainly will have a second wave coming.

I did mention as long as you're not 1-2-3 lurker, agent zero. I mean if you got like 3 posts or 0 post or have no interaction, you probably need to help yourself.

There are still waves 2, but if you do not interact with us at all, the rank maker cannot assign you a score.
