And yes, I'm practicing, and yes, I know I am especially terri-bad at hands, feet, head proportions, and everything important to figurative drawing. Save your energy!

To be honest I've been thinking about it, but if I'm going to make a $300+ investment for a hobby I wanna make sure I'm good enough at it to not give up and quit half way...so I'll probably wait until I get better σ(･ω･`)

true... graphic tablet is a waste if you don't use them

maybe not my line to say it... coz i throw my drawing life away years ago.
but at that time, graphic tablet isn't invented. yet, still so many great illustrator at that time
so i think, a pen and scanner is quite enough for the way of taichou now...

Don't get a tablet, get a touchscreen, a cintiq, trust me. do not get the crap, it's useless, and waste of money. Save 1000$ for the big shot.

Agreed, we had those tablets on our computers back in high school in my Digital Design class, that thing is so frustrating to get used to, youd end up chucking it out the window before getting anything done with it.

Your drawings are definitely above noob level, they are very good. The only thing that bugs me is the eye alignment/positioning. Though there are alot of VN's and actual anime's and mangas that have eye alignments that bug me so maybe im just too nit-picky xP

Well it would depend on what brand of tablet you had. Wacom's Intuo series is top of the class for drawing and graphic designing...but most other tablet brands are just more liability than asset lol.

And thanks, it's definitely not you on the alignment. I kept looking at it thinking "does it look weird? I think I put too much space in-between...but it might just be me! What do I do?!?!" so I just needed a confirmation lol. And the part of the problem I think is that I actually drew one eye and then copy/pasted it since it's a frontal drawing but I guess that was a bad idea lol. Guess laziness never pays.

I don't know about you but the most I spent for my hobby other than eroge is on my PS3 and I don't think I'll be spending a grand on a hobby unless I get asked to do a renaissance painting lol.

Try making eyes that are looking a different way than straight. Like try making a girl who is looking curiously to the left. I find its easier to draw eyes when they arent straight-forward xP
