Summer nights during a thunder and lightening storm is amazing. I love watching the dark night sky light up when lightening flashes.

This happens periodically where we are, not as often as back east.

Yeah, she told me about all that as well since she was originally from Maryland (Glen Burnie are I believe) before her parents moved out to Illinois for work.

All we have here is snow, snow, and more snow. Did I mentioned it snows here? Also very windy, and we get the occasional tornado.

Also very cold here, last year with the wind chill the temperature dropped to -45 :/ thankfully that only last one day, then the temperature went back up to round -20 or so.

But I'm sure you know that, since I believe you told me once your father was stationed at an Air Base in Illinois.

I remember you told me that as well. I hope you weren't hurt. My friend fell on black ice here, landed face first and knocked out her two front teeth :(

It's mostly in southern Illinois, but occasionally we get a couple tornados up north as well, but not too often.

When I visited my brother, and sister in law in Texas I could not stand the heat. I'm too used to the cold already. I think California would be too hot for me :/

Do you have family in California also?
