In my country there are a lot of intolerance for various issues: homophobia, racism, religion, etc. And most of the time it's from people that has serious issues themselves. For instance the guys that are homophobic are usually super chauvinist or can't accept their own sexuallity, people that are racist have an inferiority complex, people obsessed with moral and religion have usually a hate propensity, etc.

Based on that, my guess is that people that hate NTR is because, either they had a traumatized experience in real life (some girl cheat/leave/divorce them) that they couldn't overcome or a sexual identity problem that doesn't allow them to recognize that they actually like it and instead boost them to try to hate it (kind of like chauvinist closed gays, if that's how they are called, I'm not sure). This is just my conjeture, I'm not psychologist, but I'm sure they have some kind of not resolved issue about it, because a normal person wouldn't go out of their way to insult and fight people in a thread about a fetish they don't like.

Shinachikus new game was a bit of a letdown simply because it didn't have strong NTR content like their last releases. The art was still good but the way of going about getting the scenes was very basic and just consisted of talking to an NPC, resting at an inn, talking to that same NPC mostly.. I know it's only their second rpg and the first one wasn't really an rpg as much as it was made in the maker and just had you walk manually from scene to scene- without battles. But I believe their next game is going back to full on NTR with a tomboy heroine that they teased a while back on twitter. I hope that's the case.

Meanwhile looking at upcoming dlsite stuff- if games release on time then next month doesn't look too bad for titles.

Like unknowntosociety said, I've seen so many times the "cuck" insult it's ridiculous. As in, in you're into ntr, you are loving being cucked IRL (wtf?) and an sjw (wtf²). And no, I have not seen so much slanders for any other fetish, from WITHIN the porn community in itself.

We live in a glorious times of memes, and as someone here mention it already, i think it was Redorc, hating on NTR become a meme thing. Like every time there is "NTR" situation on twitch stream some people will type in chat "NTR FeelsBadMan" (sad frog) or "NTR monkaS" (stressed frog, like on my avatar). Its like with anime - "DansGame (face with expression of disgust) weebs". The good thing is, i think, that anime is becoming more acceptable - quite a lot of people like it and sometimes DansGame spam pretty much loses to overwhelming "weebs" emotes counter spam. There are more "anime" games and less DansGame spam now-days then before. Maybe this NTR exposure will also help a bit in time. But when we take some forums where people with authority (mods) actively hate it - it will take much more time for changes there.

For instance yandere, a yandere tends interfere with the prospect of true love between the MC and some cute girl that might really love him, often killing everyone in the process. So if it's because of a girl it's alright, if it's because of a man people go crazy.

I think most japanese still buy the physical version of these games, it would be interesting to see those numbers. Also keep in mind that eroge games are not only sold on sites like getchu but also through physical shops.
The exception to that may be independent games that don't have a publisher to make a physical version, so they only publish through dlsite, dmm etc.

With all that said, comparing the digital sales is probably a good indication of the difference between the total sales of those games.

You're absolutely correct, Physical versions are extremely important in Japan and it doesn't look it's about to change in the foreseeable future.
