Unfortunately i've been dealing with problems lately related to the Windows Visual C+ 2015 for a while now, it would screw up when trying to install, an error i eventually resolved but some programs that require it still won't run properly. The latest Wendybell games won't run either from the same type of error. I lost power while upgrading to service pack 1 for win 7 a couple years ago and i think it caused some corrupt files. I really need to just format and start with a clean slate but i'm too lazy to back up my stuff.

Edit: Well damn, that new a-model game is apparently out, no torrent links yet though

I had a similar problem with c++ too, and with java, try to unistall them them download/insteall them again but with the antivirus closed, for that ,matter you may want to download them with the antivirus closed.

Open a command prompt as admin, type "sfc /scannow" and press enter, it maly be able to solve some of the errors

Edit: I got sfc /scannow running properly just now. I'll update this post after i finish some things.

I just tried uninstalling visual c++ (i'm sure i have the right one btw) and reinstalling with my antivirus closed, restarting, and i'm getting the error still as if i did nothing.

Wondering... am I the only one here usually more interested in doujin games than the stuff big studios churn out? Maybe it has to do with how each big studio already knows its style and follows it but with doujin games they're still experimenting with their audiences and try a lot of things that big studios wouldn't normally risk.. Plus the rpg aspect that many doujin games use since it's simple to do with the makers is also more interesting to me than linear VNs mostly... There is just more variety I guess?.. I also think the simpler artstyles are sometimes more appealing but I don't even know why I think that.

Speaking of which, shadow gardens second rpg is coming out soon- I wonder if it will be NTR like their first.. even if it was pretty dull as far as they go.

I think both have their place, big studio games have better art, voice acting and usually more content. Doujin games can act with more freedom and sometimes do things that you would not expect or that the big studios don't do because they play it safer.
Also most dojin games are kinda bad and it's rare to find a really good one.

Nope, there are GOOD doujin games out there (treasure hunter, ntrpg, nanaho, shadowcore) but frankly the ratio of good vs bad games is mostly the same, the only thing douji n games do have int heir favour is that they are easier to make and so more are released per year, that gives the impresion that they release much more good games, but only because we tend to ignore the bad ones, and aply brain bleach to the really horrible ones......

Also many of those "rpg" are really just cheap VN, take INEVITABLE for example, sure its good and i loved how kick the dog and sadistic it turned out to be, but they basically made it an rpg game because the circle lacks the resourses to make a good VN (mostly the art). Trylly game slike Nanaho, shadowcore and treasure hunter, games that have good story and actually play as rpg, are rare.

@ progste: sfc /scannow finished up and i was told that all corrupt files couldn't be repaired. I also tried repairing windows visual c++ and that finished successfully but didn't produce any results. Just fuckin crazy... i'm wondering if i should try to reinstall service pack 1. Thanks for the help, now i know running sfc is an option which is cool.

#1 – Cancer

A husband is diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. The treatment is extremely expensive, and he can’t afford it.

His wife tells a friend about the situation and she feels utterly hopeless. The friend decides to introduce her to someone that may be able to help with the payment but tells her he’ll probably want something she might not be willing to give.

A meeting is arranged, and she’s offered a deal. She’s to quit her job and work for him as his personal living sex toy. She slaps him, threatens to report him, and storms out.

A few weeks later her husbands condition begins to deteriorate further. She’s distraught and begins to realise her only chance at saving her husband is to work for that other wealthy man… no matter the cost.

She returns to the man and tells him she will agree to work for him. He decides to take advantage of her desperation, realising he could probably make her do more for him because if she doesn’t her husband will die. He tells the wife that he didn’t appreciate being slapped and for that more additions will need to be added to the deal. He tells her that she will now have to work for him until he no longer sees use for her – possibly many years. She’ll also now be required to go on many overnight “business trips”.

She bursts into tears but nods her head.

(For a really dark ending, the treatment fails, and the husband dies – during the last few months of the husband’s life he didn’t see his wife much because she was always “working”.)


#2 – Timeslip

A newly wedded husband is returning home from work when suddenly the supernatural occurs, he unknowingly steps through a crack in time, sending him over three years into the future.

As he returned home that night, his wife saw him and froze. She thought he was dead.

You see, she had given up all hope for him ever returning. Given their bond, she just couldn’t imagine a scenario where he had just run away – he must have been killed. A fair assumption really.

Their relationship stretched back to the time they were children. Their love for one another blossomed far younger than most. They were bound together and unbreakable.

In the months leading up to their marriage before he disappeared, they welcomed a new neighbour who had just moved in. The three of them got along really well and they would drink together every Friday night.

This neighbour had slowly pried through her love for her missing husband over the three years.

I like the first two stories, the last one not much, but it may be a "taste" thing. However I agree with other people that the first one it's a little too much. Cancer could hit very close to home for some people that would run away from that game like the plague no matter how good it could be. I think there is other ways to make a "debt" scenario without the cancer thing. For instance, inspired in your story it ocurrs to me something like this:

The couple is in debt, the nature of the debt is not important, let's say the husband, crashed into someone while trying to avoid to run over a dog and send that person to the hospital. Now he has to pay for the bill and compensation money to avoid a lawsuit.

The boss of the big company he works in is obsessed with her wife. I think it's a lot better when the NTR guy is not a douchbag or an asshole but genuinelly obssesed with the heroine (Like some Venus games or the last Anim games). So the boss if head over heels in love for the wife and now sees his chance to do something about it, even though he knows is not a good thing. So he offers to help with the money in exchange for some sexual gratification. The couple refuse of course, but the boss is so desperate that almost beg to help, even if the wife only needs to strip so he can masturbate till he is satisfied. The couple rejects again and the boss leaves apologetic.

A few days later the couple realize it's really hard to get that much money, specially since the guy in the hospital needs multiple cirgury and a long rehabilitation to be back to normal, so the bill at the hospital will skyrocket. The deadline to the first payment is getting near and the couple have no choice but to accept the Boss offer.

The Boss is delighted and even though he has now the upper hand, he doesn't try to force it. I've had this problem a few years ago where even sfc could not fix it, I had to reinstall windows in the end, you can try if launching the repair tool from the installation CD lets you restore it or maybe just reinstalling the service pack (but it will probably say it's already installed)

Thanks. Maybe I will check it out later, from the CGs it seems to have a lot of rape and suffering. I do not know if I will like it yet, because in a NTR story I prefer (and look forward) to see the suffering of the MC than the suffering of the girls, but the hopelessness and heavy theme may add a interesting spice to the genre.
