Ahhh, Magical Girls! Girls are given great power to fight evil! It can be light, like PreCure, or dark, like Madoka. Either way, there is a charm to magical girls' underlying innocence.
This thread is designed to discuss all aspects of the Magical Girls genre of anime.
The 14th installment of the Pretty Cure/PreCure franchise is underway, KiraKira PreCure A La Mode.
KiraKira PreCure A La Mode is, so far, a lighthearted romp through the world of combat pastry baking. Unlike other PreCure seasons, we haven't seen signs of a big boss yet, just minions trying to steal the sweetness of the world's pastries. The artwork is cute, and the characters interesting. Let's see how it develops.
Last season's Maho Girls PreCure movie, The Miraculous Transformation of Cure Mofurun! is finally out!
Another season of Sailor Moon Crystal is confirmed, but details haven't come out.
The Sailor Moon saga is in five arcs. SMC has covered the first three arcs, Dark Kingdon, Black Moon, and Infinity. The next season of SMC should be the Dream Arc. The Stars Arc is the last.
The Dream Arc is interesting, in that it tends to focus more on Chibiusa than Usagi.
Pretty Cure and Sailor Moon are the two largest Magical Girl animes, but there are several others out there.
Haven't been following the Spring 2017 season much. Any interesting new Magical Girls I should be checking out?
