Your opinion on otome gacha games

I used to play a lot but after a while I stopped because I was focusing more on collecting cards than progressing through the story.

For the longest time I was just speed-clicking through main story and events just to hoard gems, basically logging in only for the gacha. I didn't even bother reading the stories on the cards I pulled 😅😅

It's kind of sad that gacha games don't really leave you with anything once you stop playing.

When I get hooked on one, I end up spending way too much on pulls, so I've stopped looking for new gacha games altogether.

I still play a few gacha games, but unless my favorite character is featured, I do my best to resist pulling.

same with me, otome gacha really needs a lot of grind. though rl needs a ton of commitment, i used to spare a lot of my time to do all limited events on LaD. now after a 1 & half year i played it, i just felt pretty bored with the game. all the limited events have filler dialogues and largely fatigues me bc i just tapped away all the dialogue box.

i understand they have to keep limited events with those filler stories and that's why i realized that i should stop playing those predatory gacha games. and just continuing to play games w/ concise story & clear goals from the start. i felt like these gacha games prolong the release of main story too much and trying to distract players with anything else than the main story it's supposed to be told

i used to like otome gacha games, but it's frustating that i can't read a certain story about my fave if i don't have their card so i stopped playing, and instead playing non-gacha otome games. it satisfies me more than anything :3 also usually the gacha otome games story is on-going... i prefer my otome games to be completed :'D

Never picked up any gacha otome game after Yumekuro ended its service (´;ω;`)
I tried Tears of Themis right after it came out globally, but it's just impossible to keep up with every release without spending money. Now that I haven't logged in for so long, there's just way too much content, and I don't think I could enjoy it like I used to. Yumekuro was the only game where I could comfortably grind everything without having to spend any money.

Not really a fan of otome gachas or even a lot of gachas in general. Well, meta-wise and their practices. I'm fine with their stories, characters, art, etc. There's the predatory practicices, FOMO, and legal gambling. And most of the time, it feels like playing them is to maintain accounts rather than actually playing. Would rather spend my money on other things I could buy and definitely get rather than paying for better chances to get something I want from a gacha.

Unless they respect my time or is f2p friendly, I usually tend to end up dropping gachas days to months later lol.
sorry OOT, i love your riensang pfp ehe

I honestly really dislike gacha in general, the "gameplay" just feels like doing daily chores and you can literally pay real money not to do them lol. I would much rather pay for a game that I own permanently. Also I like that non-gacha games actually have an end. I don't like the idea of playing a game perpetually until I decide to stop, I like completing things and feeling satisfied.

Yeah I could never handle gacha otomes. Imagine getting blueballed from a really nice interaction with your fav li because you can't win in gambling for his card. Nope, not letting that happen to me ever. I'll stick to just joseimukes when it comes to gacha.

I also tend to prefer finished products, so I don't have a very positive view of gacha games. Honestly, I even wonder if it wouldn't be better to just buy an otome game instead of investing that money. That's not to say the people who enjoy them are bad, though. Ultimately, it's a matter of personal taste and choice.😉

unfortunately i play almost all of them lol i recently dropped love and deepspace because of all the drama that's been going on. honestly, playing gachas in general is only for the strong (and masochists) 😭

All gacha games are like a drug, and it's almost like if you don't spend a certain amount of money, you get less of the game experience, I wouldn't want to get into any other otome gacha games unless I win the lottery((

I used to like them because the art style mostly got me hooked. Now? I don't even play them anymore since it takes so much time and money to play. Every move needs microtransaction and if you're an f2p player (like me), you'll need what? several hours and days of grinding just to move past the story or get any crumbs of romantic interaction 😭. This is why I prefer playing games with one time purchase at least you get to own it forever and do everything without getting paywalled.

The only one I ever played seriously was Tears of Themis. I had to stop cause I just couldnt keep justifying what I spend on it 😭 Ive been a long time player of other types of gacha games without spending a lot or getting super fd up when I dont get a card/character I want but I for Otome games it feels extra frustrating, especially since a lot of the actual romantic stuff is locked behind the gacha system. Id rather just spend money once and enjoy a full story.

I don't play it myself, but I always hear my friend happily playing it. I'm amazed by the 3D graphics (more so in LADS rather than TOT, since you actually fight in LADS! It's so cool, lol).
:akazukin_sweat:
But sometimes, the story is a bit confusing to me... it's like a Chinese web novel with multiple universes. Gacha otome games might just not be my thing. So, while I've never played it, I do watch the gameplay sometimes and about the drama too lol
