Would you rather have a terrible plot with amazing chemistry or an amazing plot with zero chemistry?

I think I prefer plot! A good plot can make me love the cast and overall make the whole game worth it, while a bad plot for me can often makes me feels like there's a wasted potential there that could have made the characterization better and thus makes me care for the characters better :deadsad:

Even if I enjoy a dynamic it's hard for me to truly love them if both characters isn't interesting by themselves, so I would prefer games that fleshes their characters first before delving into romance!

A game with a completely ridiculous plot, questionable writing, and a story that barely makes sense - sounds like a great idea for a really fun game :)! But unfortunately, this is usually not intentional... Though sometimes there are games that are so bad they're actually fun.
If I had to choose, I'd prefer a good world, storyline, and characters—and then I wouldn't mind a weak romance. Mainly because I rarely come across a romance in games that I consider well-executed, so it's actually nice when other elements of the game make up for it with their quality.
Besides otome games, I generally like the whole visual novel genre (and, actually, I like physical books even more), so my opinion is probably a little less typical than most people's on this forum ;)
