Worst happy endings?

Personally, even if endings where characters or everyone dies are pretty depressing... like in Nightshade or Hakuoki

I still can´t get over Mysir´s "happy ending" at Café Enchanté.

It wasn't just the big letdown or the lack of proper romance like in the other routes, but...
Kotone´s fate, for some reason, really disturbed me. Being unable ever to leave, touch someone, and even outlive all of her friends and boyfriend... I can´t think of a more miserable way to spend eternity. What if someone doesn´t return? Living with that uncertainty, if a friend had died or something had happened, without a way to do anything, really scares me. And even if most of her friends will live long... just like in Frieren, that long will eventually pass in a flash for her. And she will be all alone again.

Have you ever experienced a "happy ending" that left you feeling hollow and hopeless?
I have heard about another otome with happy endings that make you feel devastated, but I don't remember the title.

And as I´m a sucker for sappy happy endings or bittersweet endings... It would be nice to be warned of other stories that might leave a similar bad taste.

Kanato's in the first DiaLovers game, Yui doesn't die, but she lost her humanity, became a vampire, and is no more a sweet and kind girl we see at the beginning, I felt very uneasy when hearing her said she was fine with Kanato bringing human to their house to make them do the housework then suck dry their blood... To me, that girl isn't Yui anymore, Kanato destroyed her very core persona.

Yeah nightshade is up there, at first I was like "aww sexy ninja game" and then the next minute everyone is fucking dying even in the happy ends, like sure me and my baby Chojiro got there in the end but not before he tried to choke me first
