I'm well aware that the title of "Best Girl" in a long-running JRPG franchise is a point of contention in every entry, but the Persona series has more heated discussions than most. People will tell you your waifu is trash, sure, but it feels like a personal (heh) attack, because not only did you spend in-game time wooing your party member of choice, doing so is not just about character preference but also gameplay utility. If you're like ATLUS and disregard the PS1 trilogy (best girls are Elly, Maya, Ulala respectively) you're invested emotionally and mechanically in your digital girlfriend.
I would like to propose a new argument: given the chance to fuck one Persona, but not its owner, who would you pick?
This is a much more fun topic because it has nothing to do with personality and everything to do with aesthetics, personal preference, and feasibility. In the cast of 5, I feel like Ann is everybody's second place pick, but her Persona is the most likely to have actual lady bits. How exactly do you fuck nuclear-powered motorcycle pope Johanna? There's nothing under Milady's dress but guns! And their evolved forms are
