Who else miss the old/veteran seiyuus in otome games ?

Like Junichi Suwabe , Yuichi Nakamura , Daisuke Hirakawa et tant d'autres ~ It's not that i don't enjoy the current VAs in otome but i'd wish we had some changes i mean at somepoint it's getting repetitive with same names lol

I really like Yuichiro Umehara's voice but I have been seeing him in way too many games his voice is great though just wish I got more Miyano Mamoru characters in newer otomes. On the other hand I like newer VAs, the characters feels fresh since I can't associate them with any of the older LIs. Regardless they are all enjoyable in different ways for me.

I totally get you about it being repetitive, I kinda feel the same. I'm okay with new voices in my games that I haven't heard before, but I also really miss Tsudaken. He was amazing as Hanzo in Nightshade

I agree with you, I would like to see more variety in the seiyuu age group casting(give me more veterans, please). It's inevitable that we get younger faces(otherwise we wouldn't have seen Taku Yashiro and Suzuki Ryouta rise, I adore them!) but some names like Umehara and Makoto Furukawa are really repetitive.

I'm used to watching male idol anime that usually have a 1-3 veteran seiyuus and rest of the cast are new. I've had my eyes on Jun Kasama, Kikunosuke Toya, and Taito Ban~

i do miss the veteran seiyuus in otome games, although i do like hearing them sometimes as side characters, i kinda miss them being the LIs. i hear nobu everywhere and although i know his voice has a wide range, i kinda got tired of him </3. though on the bright side im also happy that new gen of seiyuus are shining in new otoges

Kasama Jun was mentioned!! I know him mainly because I played Enstars, and he was the seiyuu of Himeru. I think he's one of the voice actors with the sexiest vocals so far, especially when he appeared in Enstar's Superbloom a while ago (I really admired his performance when he sang It's (k)not love). I really like that his vocals sound similar whether he is performing on stage or in the recording studio. I know that he is also in some otome game titles like My9swallows or Jack Jeanne, but both of those games are still on my backlog list so far, and since I don't really like Jack Jeanne, that only leaves My 9 Swallows.

Honestly, I mostly played otome games from the early 2000s up through the 2010s, so when I look at newer releases these days, I get kind of sad.
I know generational shifts are inevitable, and I have nothing against newer voice actors — they're great in their own way. But it's hard not to miss the seiyuu I used to love. I barely see their names in new otome casts anymore.
At least I can still find them in anime, so that's something… but yeah, it definitely makes me feel a little nostalgic.

I don't really look for newer otome and instead play based on characters and seiyuu so I haven't noticed a cast shift, but I am quite picky with the seiyuu I wanna hear (if Ono Yuuki/Hirakawa Daisuke/Okitsu Kazuyuki are in it I will play immediately)

Ohhh I got juuzaengi on my radar (nekomimi boys, my weakness). Outside of very mainstream games like Amnesia(I love Kent), I would recommend Bad Apple Wars and Ayakashi Gohan! I love both characters of his but Ayakashi Gohan is a personal all-time favorite role for me. Though I gotta warn you, his route won't unlock until you finish everyone else's, but the whole game is a treat and you'll love Asagi!
