I don't think I've played any utsuge so far... or at least, I don't remember any that left a big impression on me, lol. Nakige, yes (the ones designed to make people cry), but utsuge, not really.

Currenly playing Shitoku no Gyokuza, it does feel dark fantasy and kinda depressing topic.

Utsuge (鬱ゲー): A Japanese term for a game with dark, tragic, or emotionally heavy themes that leaves players feeling depressed or melancholic after playing.

Same here, but I don't think there's many utsuge otome to pick from to begin with... maybe there's more in the indie scene. I think it's between Suicide Club and Monochrome Heaven (I glaze this game so much...) for me. I love utsuge's in general since they tend to involve a lot of psychological realism/internal conflicts/highly multi-dimensional characters, and I think both of these games achieve that perfectly.

For me, it was Toa's route in Scarlet 7. I remember feeling so heartbroken after finishing it that I stopped playing for two days.. I think his story genuinely affected me, and I wish the story had been different

Kira Kira is my favorite. Left me depressed for weeks... very life changing story. Muramasa was also very good and very misserable.
