Which route do you usually go for first in a visual novel the good ending or the bad ending?

I'm going in blind, but if there's an obvious choice or I understood the system, then I'm aiming for the bad endings first! I have to finish the game with uplifting spirit 😄

I'm going for the good ending first and then the bad endings, because I tried playing without a guide once but got a bad ending and it made me sad.

Bad ending so the good ending feels more rewarding! Also because I tend to get the bad ending first...so I don't really have a choice if not following a guide

I go for good endings first, and sometimes the bad endings that happen because of one bad choice.

I don't use guides and just pick the answer I like best.
Most of the time I end up getting a Bad Ending 1st.
And personally I like Bad Endings, since they make me like LIs even more.

I prioritize getting the good endings first. As for the bad endings, I'll play them later if I remember to, or if the li really annoys me—or I might skip them entirely.

I usually go with the good ending,,,i'm not a maso who plays bad endings first/hj. The only time i play the bad route first is when it's a character i dislike or really HATE. I did it for yori from illusion of itehari and tbf never played his good ending ( he ragebait me so easily omg— ) or when it's OBLIGATORY- sobs like in virche evermore…i never thought i could suffer this much playing madness after madness endings..when i was finally able to do the salvation ones i genuinely cried

I always do the good endings first because I want to see them happy and it's like the goal of playing otome games haha. I'll play the bad endings afterwards but only the ones that have cgs or adds something to the story/character. I think of the bad endings as a what if/alternative timeline of how bad stuff could have gone if wrong choices were mad. I do like some bad endings though, some are done really well.

I strictly only play the good endings as much as possible lol I am too much of a coward to do the bad endings

I prefer to play through a game for the first time without a walkthrough. That's why I usually start by playing through the bad endings.

I just go with my gut and see what happens.
I dont aim for good or bad I just pick what feels right in the moment. if i get a bad end oh well thats just how it went.
Then after that I use a guide to get the good ones.

Getting the bad ending first kind of traumatizes me lol. I always use a guide on my first playthrough to make sure I don't end up with it.

I have a small question—I'm curious which route everyone chooses first when playing otome visual novels For me I usually start with the bad ending. I kind of like experiencing something sad before getting to the happy parts. If the game doesn't force a specific order sometimes I don't really mind which route I go for first.
I'd love to hear what you all think! I know these games can be pretty strategic, so I'm wondering—do you follow guides from people who've already finished the game, or do you just play through on your own? I do use guides sometimes, especially when I can't collect all the CGs

Let's discuss!😄
I usually like to play through blind a couple of times so I get what I get. Then after that I just follow a guide and clear the rest of the unlocking lol

Good ending always😂 I don't even play the bad ending; I actively try to avoid it if I can. I play with the intention of getting the good ending, and if I get it on the first try, I stop playing the game😂. If I get a bad ending, I immediately replay/look for a guide on how to get the good ending so that it washes away the bad one.

Usually, I play blind for the first few times, but once I start using guides, I think I'd go for the bad endings first. I want to finish the game feeling happy, haha. Sometimes you can't unlock the true ending without clearing specific ones first, so I'm the type who likes to get the unpleasant stuff out of the way first.

I always go in blind first, so I end up getting bad endings more often than not. :ROFLMAO:

Once I've done that, I usually go straight for the happy ending. I like seeing where my choices naturally take me first, but after one bad end I'm ready to give everyone a break.

I like seeing the good/true ending first, then ruin it by going through the bad ending immediately afterwards.
It's also because i want to see the "main" or "best" ending first while playing through a route. It feels like going through a more complete, satisfying experience (since a lot of bad endings usually cut the story shorter)

Even though I'm also the type to save the best for last, I like to go in blind aiming for the happy ending. The first playthrough is the most fun for me so I want to use that first time for the best ending. The bad endings I think of them as "if" side story and I like to think of the happy one as what really ended up happening.

I avoid bad ending, if i can 🙅‍♀️ i would only play it if i reaaally want to collect the CG, or if, i need to play it to unlock something. so i wouldn't even touch it, if its not necessary 😆 i mean, i don't even go for the normal ending, let alone a bad one. i'm content with getting the happy ending. so a guide is a must for me hehe

If I'm feeling sad and want to lean into that sadness, I usually go for the bad endings first to intensify those negative feelings and that bitter taste in my mouth – just to cry and get all the suffering out of the way at once!

But if I'm in a happy mood and want something lighthearted and romantic, I go for the good ending first. In short, it all depends on my mood and emotions while I'm playing.

I used to avoid bad ending at all costs, but trying some game recently makes me want to try the bad ed too, well if it's not too time consuming and stressful. i do think if the game not based on historical theme i can still manage it. I always access bad ending first then good ending for good last impression.

I try to get the happy ending first then normal end, bad ends are the last since they usually happen in the first half of the route so skipping is easier to me. I prefer a whole reading experience so I prioritize the longest first.

I go for the "Whatever ending I get" then every other ending after.

Just go in blind first and go wherever after!

For some reason I always end up with good endings first though. Maybe it's the mc's plot armor?
