Which otome left a lasting impression on you?

None come to mind like "forever". But when I finished Virche I spent a few weeks constantly thinking about the story, the same thing happened to me with Charade Maniacs, and in general with anyone with a strong plot. I'm the kind of person who forgets things, and has his hyperfixation on a single character lol

I think Ayakashi Gohan and Psychedelica of Ashen Hawk (probably more, but I only remember these two for now).

Ayakashi Gohan made me quite sad in some chapters. Like the mc said something about eating: she only eats to survive and fill her stomach, rather than to actually enjoy the food.
While Ashen Hawk Lugus' route is beautiful.

Probably Black Wolves Saga. I've binge read all twincats endings in like 1-2 days and it left me traumatized
I forgot the details though, so it might be time to replay...

Taisho x Alice.
It was suppossed to be a story of self-acceptance
yet its resolution went of the rails at the end.

I like the otome game <<The Crimson Flower that Divides: Lunar Coupling>>.

The heroine is a rare type—intelligent and assertive. She learns martial arts to protect herself and those around her, is passionate and decisive, and doesn't overly rely on the male lead.

When faced with problems, she thinks for herself, puts in the effort, and takes practical actions to change difficult situations, even going so far as to cut her hair or use herself as a shield, always thinking of others.

Probably Mystic Messenger? (very unoriginal considering my pfp, I know). It was genre-breaking for mobile otome, and AFAIK, the first otome of many lol
But from a personal standpoint, I think it just does a great job of creating a fun cast that somehow manages to relate to me in at least some aspect. It's a comfort game.

Besides that, there's also Monochrome Heaven, it's short and free but the psychological complexity of the characters is incredibly impressive. Each time I replay there's something new to the game to learn and analyze. The way that Asuka and Akito project onto MC is really interesting, imo.

I have to say it's Amnesia, Piofiore and Hakuoki!
Amnesia really laid down the groundwork for my daydreams for the rest of my life (my username is orionsbestie, pls HAHA), the whole traveling between worlds is fuel for my imagination~ and there's Orion!!! My best bro!!! And Kent who made me do math but... he's so special to me too like, he really actually heard me out and BELIEVED ME he kept listening to me when I told him about Orion and-- and dude idk that was so important to me at the time.

Hakuoki was one of my first first games. I played Saito's route in the psp version and just... just...!!!! It felt super immersive and I was going through some stuff back then, it really felt like the shinsengumi were the found family I desperately needed even though they started dropping like flies in the second half and I cried when Hijikata came to tell us Kondo died. Truly one of the best otome I've ever played. Even recently that I played through his Chronicles of Wind and Blossom route I had a moment where I really did go ??? How do I explain to my nervous system that Hakuoki's Saito Hajime cannot come and hug us???

And Piofiore... girllll idek why it struck so hard. It's not even the strongest plot I've ever read and I keep finding flaws whenever I look at it but it also feels so mine??? My red flag boys??? My questionable biblical fanfic???? But tbh I think a lot of it is because of Dante. There's a pattern here lmao the kuuderes who Do Not Know how to be open about their feelings until way later. Ppl can call him boring all they want, but he was so steady and reliable and adorable and BRO APOLOGIZED AND ACKNOWLEDGED HIS FAULTS goodness the bar is in the underworld wtf and. IDK i really really like him. And the rest of the cast too, it's a repeat of what happened with Hakuoki-- the guys in the finale routes really felt like a (dysfunctional) found family. Or at least a team for a school project that I'd get very attached to. I am lol they're so silly and comforting when they're up to nonsense together!!
