Which otome CD voice actors have your favorite ear-licking performances?

When you think of dummy-head mic recordings, ear licking almost feels like a standard feature these days, since it seems like it's included in so many titles. So I guess people like you who aren't comfortable with it must have a pretty hard time finding recordings you can enjoy without having to skip through those scenes. 😭
yeah, it's super difficult sometimes! TT Especially with doujin works. One of the main reasons I pirate so much because it sucks spending money on something I end up not being able to listen to much of. (lost count of how many things I bought just to end up putting it on the hide list on my dlsite app..) So super helpful for me to be able to listen to full works first, if I really like them, I add them to my list to purchase later..

It kinda sets off some my autistic sensitivity issues I think too... ^^; Even IRL in the past when I was sexually active, I *hated* when they'd do too much tongue action with my ears I'm like it's wet gross and loud djfhudhsud like it would trigger irritability for me sometimes which is uh.. not helpful for being in the mood LOL. but yeah, I wish I could enjoy it. :(

Though I also tend to enjoy stuff with more story anyway too. (but for R18, I really do like the other sounds of like pants/sighs/moans/whispering/etc so it's upsetting sometimes knowing you're the odd one out with your experiences and lacking things that can cater to you) I have noticed more official CDs that have less of those sounds, especially some of the older ones.. So I end up usually enjoying those a bit more. bad thing is, they're like several times more expensive.. I'd really like to find others with similar tastes though and maybe we could figure out a list of like... sensory-friendly circle/series or something LOL.

and another difficult thing that makes it *even harder* for me is that I *love* yandere but I *hate* breeder/pregnancy stuff. LOL. (I mean, to me logic wise it feels like a cheap/shallow way to "lock down" their darling anyway from a fictional story standpoint... cause it's like okay your darling being preggers means she's gonna feel sick and miserable and then when the baby is born, wayyyy less attention and focus towards the yandere which is like, the opposite of what a yandere usually wants??)

anyway thank you for reading my TED talk. :akazukin_bow:

I'm pretty much a little bit of a generalist when it comes to genres, so I tend to listen to all kinds of things. I'm usually pretty open-minded about most genres and just think, "Oh, so this is a world that exists too!" 😂 So I haven't really had too much trouble finding things I enjoy.

But when you have very specific tastes, I imagine it must be quite a challenge to find works that really match what you're looking for.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find something that's an absolutely perfect match for your tastes! 🫶🏻

Ichijo Hirame-san's ear-licking is sooo good too ❤ I'm totally into it! And he has such a huge number of works, so being able to enjoy so many different variations of his ear-licking is honestly one of the best things about him lol

And SAME, I absolutely LOVE Mondo Ash-san!! He really is ridiculously talented and versatile lol. Personally, I feel so much more attached to his works because he speaks the same dialect as me. Hearing him use my dialect is like, "WAIT, THAT'S MY DIALECT!!!" and it makes me feel weirdly close to him every time I listen to his works 😂 lol
I love how you said RIDICULOUSLY TALENTED😂 He really is!! At first I thought woah this is kinda too much... And then I fell into it lol

Btw, I bet sharing the same dialect as a VA makes you feel way closer to them! Kinda makes me wish I spoke that dialect too… Mondo Ash-san is literally my favorite VA 😭

When I first started listening to Otome CDs, I used to get so embarrassed that I'd practically squirm myself to death, but now that's almost nostalgic to me. 😂

Anyway, so far, there isn't a single voice actor who is active in Otome CDs that I dislike, so I'm honestly just incredibly happy getting to listen to so many different voice actors and hear all of their performances.

I've also been getting a lot of mileage out of Ichijo Hirame-san's works too, haha. 😂

Haha, I guess unless you were actually born and raised in that region, it's pretty hard to speak the same dialect naturally. Kansai-ben is really different from the way people speak in the Kanto region, especially when it comes to intonation, so a friend of mine who lives in Tokyo once told me that they find it really difficult to speak Kansai-ben.

I think it's probably similar to how I want to be able to speak a foreign language—especially English—as naturally as a native speaker. I really wish I could become super fluent in a foreign language like that! 😂

Also, Mondo Ash-san has been releasing SO many new works lately, and I'm absolutely thrilled about it, but it's definitely not kind to my wallet, so honestly, I'm struggling. 😂

Ahh, I see! So unless you actually grew up in the region, it's pretty hard to pick up the dialect naturally… Languages really are complicated😭 Sometimes I wish I had been born somewhere in Japan too, even if it wasn't Kansai lol

English is actually a foreign language for me too, but I don't speak Japanese at all, so sometimes I genuinely wish I could trade whatever English skills I have for Japanese skills instead… literally just for otome CDs lol my priorities are very clear 😂

And YES, Mondo Ash-san has been releasing SO much lately! Normally when a VA does that many works, I feel like their performances could start sounding similar or I might eventually get a little tired of hearing them so often. But somehow that just never happens with him! Every performance feels different, and he makes every character feel like an actual living person rather than just another character voiced by the same VA. That's exactly why I also end up wanting to buy every single work he releases… My wallet is suffering too 😭

It really is difficult! Even in TV dramas, there are sometimes actors from the Tokyo area who play characters who speak Kansai-ben. But if the production doesn't have anyone on staff to coach them on the dialect, it ends up sounding like fake Kansai-ben, and it honestly sounds so weird to my ears. 😂

It makes me feel kind of proud that Japan is a country you can say such nice things about. Thank you! 🥹

Haha, I don't mind people having very specific hobbies and tastes! In fact, I kind of like that about you. 😂 So let's keep proudly declaring what we like and never be shy about it!! 😂

You're absolutely right about him! It's precisely because he's so good at developing each character that every character sounds like a completely different person. I really think his acting skills are something special.

Since my wallet is suffering too, I check for sale information every single day. I want to get things as cheaply as possible, even if I can save just a little! 😂
