Which ending do you like more?

Overall, I love stories with a perfect happy ending. After going through such a difficult journey, it's comforting to feel that everything has worked out for the best in the end. That said, if the world itself is dark or brutal, I also appreciate a well-crafted ending that feels plausible within that setting—even if it's not purely optimistic. Even if it isn't perfectly happy, if it fits the tone of the story and the relationships between the characters, it leaves a lasting impression.

I don't like the crushing drama of bad endings. I like endings that offer even a glimmer of hope.
I like an absolute happy ending too, but the ones that stick in my memory are the ones that a touch of light sadness.

I think it depends on the overall story. A game like 7'scarlet has more tragic endings, especially Toa and secret routes, and it fits well into the themes of the game

Some games also do bittersweet endings pretty well, and I liked the ones in Bad Apple Wars, they're quite sad but hopeful for the characters

Some games just match better with happy endings though, it wouldn't feel very fulfilling to get a tragic ending in a story that's more light-hearted or lower stakes, and instead would betray the game's themes I think. So the ending style is more of a matter of setting and the characters motivation for me!

After seeing every ending in PioFiore, Illusion of Itehari and Mistonia's Hope I grew to like Bad Endings more than Normal/Good/Best ones...

I like every tragic ending in Itehari (except for Yori's).

In PioFiore Fated Memories:

I think Nicola and Lili would be way more happier in his Good Ending rather than the Best one (although I dare say even his Bad Ending is better for him than the "happiest" the game gave him).

Orlok's Bad Ending left me traumatized, but at least Dante sure left quite an impression on me there (unlike his entire route).

In Mistonia I like Edward's Good (the Normal / middle one) Ending.

And so on...

Basically, I love both good and bad endings; there are always pros and cons to either one. Some good endings are so dreamy they feel unrealistic, while some bad endings leave a lasting impression and really make you think. It's hard to choose, but I still prefer good endings a little bit more.

I do love good endings, but it can depend on the game. Not all stories should be ended with a happily-ever-after because it would break immersion to have all the plot points wrapped up in such a way, and that's okay! Tragic ends can be beautiful even if they make me sad. I prefer the more fluffy games to have a nice, fluffy end because I am playing for fluff not angst, while the darker one's can have either kind of end, because those are more story-focused.

I usually play the sad ending first because I want to know what it's like. Some games get so heartbreaking… and then I finish with the happy ending afterward.

My favorite in norn9, nijou sakuya's bad ending.
Of course, many bad endings in other games and other characters are sad, but the reason why Sakuya's bad end is sadder is
It was so sad…

I love happy endings where the characters overcome hardship and reach a grand, satisfying conclusion. But if both sides can truly feel happy with the outcome, I'm also completely fine with a cruel or bittersweet happy ending.

I think it depends on the story and the characters' personalities———there might be stories suited for a happy ending, but there might also be stories better suited for a tragic ending.

I like the best/happy endings the most, I know most people would play bad endings when they've already played the good ones, but that just leaves a sour taste in my mouth for the routes so I like to do the bad endings first because of it.

Happy endings mostly, but I don't mind a bittersweet one if it fits the story. A tiny bit of sadness can actually make it better sometimes lol

I like happy endings. Bittersweet endings can be cool too. I'm not that into tragic or sad endings because I'm pretty sensitive, and I feel emotionally drained after finishing them lol. I like bad endings if they aren't the canon ones, since they show a different result of our choices.
