I haven't read over requiemz yet, but I stumbled upon a Dorothy CG that felt way too creepy kdfgjsgf
among some considerably creepy games (?) like black wolves saga and virche, I don't think they felt as creepy as that Dorothy CG 😅😅
or maybe yes, the Lucas CG from his despair end is horrifying and I can still hear the high pitched violin from Auger in my head 😂😂
I´m curious though, because even if I don't have context, pretty sure the purple eyes mean something probably, but I'll wait for OverReq localization to get the context

Reiji from DiaLovers, there was just a scene that stook out to me the most where he did something extremely textbook toxic-bf-soon-to-be-murderer that happens A LOT irl, so it REALLY freaked the hell out of me and I had to drop the game right there.

I mean, yes it's horror based! But thanks to a certain gimmick from the game, the "most scary ranking" was completely overturned in an instant.


Besides him, I'd give my vote to Ukyo from Amnesia (*first impression)

I got scared when he cut Mc arm and leg when she realize what happening I remember he put her in stroller to look like a baby and also let her wear diaper
 
Ukyo from Amnesia, Sanan from Hakuoki (he's so creepy, gives me the irk everytime I see him), Fox from Akazukin to Mayoi no Mori.

I haven't found an otome character who has actually scared me (yet), but I do find characters who lock the MC up (cough Toma cough) reaaaaally annoying. Like, I like these characters except on their own routes.
 
I don't play much otomes with a darker theme but Kanato from Diabolik Lovers used to lowkey make me uncomfortable. I first got to know him in middle school though so maybe that's part of the reason. The thing is, my friend loved him lots, so like, I was scared of him, but I needed to tolerate him😅
 
Honestly, everyone in Over RequiemZ pretty scary in the dark route, but if i had to choose the most scariest its Claude, that scythe isnt just for decoration and he doesnt hesitate to swing it for anyone who gets in his way the severed head rolling scene was traumatizing okay? not only that, he also feeds corpses to carnivorous plants, turning them into plant monster :o_O:

surprisingly, im not afraid of Noil even tho its about cannibalism , maybe im just biased, idk

Main character from Homicipher. This game has many scary characters, but when the truth about what is happening was revealed, hands down it was the most chilling moment in my otome game life. Not every horror game can be this creepy.
 
Nami from Re:Birthday Song ~Koi o Utau Shinigami~. He's not that extreme on the grand scale, but given that you play his route last and how tame the previous routes were, he definitely is something.

edit: apparently its a free game to promote insect pesticides im sorry, seeing those pictures almost makes me gag. are you saying after we date them the company told us to basically kill them irl using their product? 😭

XD I love how majority of people were scared of Toma which makes total sense 😅 For me it was Kanato from Diabolik Lovers, he was very disturbing to me (well majority of the guys in the game were very unpleasant in general).

Monochrome heaven perturbed me so much. One of the LIs is a femicide perpetrator and another an implied grapist. i dropped it SO quickly when i found out, it made me sick to my stomach. :sick:
 
Maybe not scared, but the only ones who have made me feel uncomfortable at times (because you realize they're truly intimidating) have been Yang (Piofiore), Scien (Virche), and Kanato (DL).

Kanato can snap at any moment, get hysterical and scream, even becoming violent and you never know when that's gonna happen. He's very volatile.

If Yang doesn't like something or thinks you're stupid, you'll face a fate worse than death when he decides to get rid of you. His entire route feels like you're walking on eggshells to not upset him.

And Scien has many different sides depending on which route you are in Virche. He's an antihero who fights for his plans through to the end, for better or for worse. If he loves you, he'll do the impossible to keep you by his side, but if he doesn't… he'll do everything in his power to achieve his goals. A true mad scientist.

Toma from Amnesia: Memories will forever be my answer, purely for the psychological whiplash. He starts off acting like the sweetest, most protective childhood friend, and then before you know it, the tea kicks in and you wake up behind literal bars. It wasn't just a regular scare—the sheer casualness in his voice while justifying trapping you completely sent chills down my spine!

Yang from Piofiore! I see someone else mentioned him in the comments too. It wasn't scary in the sense of seeing ghosts or anything supernatural, but his bad end was more like… a total shock. It was so unexpected that I felt completely blindsided!

Yang didn't scare me like what you described, but instead.....he really gives me a lot of stress and anxiety when going through his route cause I know he's the time of character designed to be unpredictable so choosing the options really stressed me somehow. Also, I was utterly worried that Yang might get Lilianna involved in drugs or not, I was so scared and stressed whenever Yang was around.

His BE also shocked me, although I somehow expected death might take place.....but that was horrible...just put me straight into depression until I don't want to play the second time to unlock his HE in a short time.

I'm playing Black Wolves Saga right now, and… Auger is seriously something else. I think he might be the most shocking LI I've ever come across in an otome game.
