It doesn't matter whether they're all-ages or R18, commercial or doujin. If you use different sources for different categories, I'd really appreciate it if you could mention which source you use for what in the comments!
I'm thinking about creating a Drama CD News thread, similar to Otome Game News, so I'd like to do a bit of research beforehand to find out which sources are the most comprehensive and least likely to miss new releases.

To be honest, no where!! 😭 theyre such a niche fandom and im not confident enough in my japanese to browse JP forums or social media for it. Sorry that I cant be of help but I guess my point is that if you made news threat for drama cds I would be eternally thankful !!

For me, it's mostly about following circle accounts, the official DLsite account, and the official Pokedora account on X (Twitter), as well as subscribing to newsletters from various platforms. I also rely on retweets from fellow situation CD fans and recommendations on my X timeline. That's pretty much how I get my updates!

I see, that makes sense! I totally understand. It's become really hard to keep up with new releases now that so many news sites and roundup blogs have stopped updating.
And there's absolutely no need to apologize! If anything, knowing there's interest in something like this gives me the motivation to keep working on it.

Got it! Thanks.
It wasn't this active before, so I haven't made a dedicated X account for it.
But X (Twitter) really does seem like the easiest place to get information, so I'll go ahead and make one!
Also, subscribing to newsletters from various platforms is a great idea.
There are quite a lot of them though, so it might end up taking a fair bit of time to go through emails, but I'll give it a try!

I'm following some of circles, favorite seiyuus' account on twitter. Mostly the algorithm timeline brings me other circle's new title works tweets or some of JP fans reviews' tweets on the title works they just bought so that's why I don't have much trouble getting the latest info.

Also, I have a tab on my browser that contains DLsite based on the name of my favorite seiyuu along with the tag "upcoming title released" and that's why I'm still up to date with their latest works

I've only started paying more attention to BL ASMR CDs since this past April. I noticed that a lot of people in Japan share curated info compiled from DLsite. Before that, my main sources were mostly X (Twitter) and the official release websites.

That's a great idea—thank you!
Keeping a DLsite tab open and setting it up with the "upcoming releases" tag is a really good way to stay on top of new ones.

Nice, thanks for your comment!
Is there actually a roundup site somewhere? If possible, I'd really appreciate it if you could share the URL in a non-clickable format.
If you meant "curated posts" on X (Twitter) and similar platforms, then hmm… I might start to worry about whether I'm really catching all the information. That's because people usually filter things by their favorite voice actors or specific settings.

forgot added this https://sithyou.com/ that recently released. Haven't added some of my purchased/heard title works on my profile so I can't reveal my account but it's really neat that they have real time timeline so you can see some of members without following them talking about sitCD 🎉

Oh, I know this! I'm a heavy user of it lol. It's such a great SNS!
I saw the admin post an announcement, but I couldn't really understand it because it could be interpreted in a few different ways.
Do you think we'll be able to get new release information on this site as well? That would be amazing if so!

I often got email from dlsite, it gives so many notifications actually 🤭🤭🤭 but i rarely check it because i should use another broswer because dlsite in my country is banned (🫂) but at X i rarely see it but sometimes it pop up at my fyp 🤭🤭

Usually the admin post an announcement about the update for the website since she's doing by all herself.
As far I know the list of Drama CDs there is based on information she's gathered, so it's still up to her...
But from what I've seen, since she also made a website (https://utatane-chu.com/db-search?mode=voice&cattab=setting) is up to dated, even though it isn't very extensive, and some of the titles are by seiyuus who are well-known in their field so it does take some time, or the best solution using that website is checking out discussions from other fans about the new title on the real-time timeline

For the most part, I follow news about cd on Twitter and DLsite

And seiyuu's twitter
Those two are definitely the most standard (go-to) sources!
Voice actors' Twitter accounts are interesting too. They're great, but if you only want to pick up information, you might end up seeing some things you didn't really need to see, haha.

Oh really! I guess it can't be helped since there are so many new releases and sales, but when there are too many notifications, it gets hard to keep up with the information, which is a bit of a dilemma.
So that means you're accessing it using something like a VPN? That sounds like a hassle…
X is good for casually enjoying entertainment while picking up information, but if you only want the information itself, reposts/RTs make things repetitive, so it's kind of difficult, haha.

I see… I've actually been checking pretty closely for a few days after releases, haha, but there are a lot of pretty niche topics, so I can barely keep up lol. You might already know, but today there was even a discussion about a work that includes depictions of non-consensual acts.
As for new releases, people do post things like "a new release is out!", but they often don't include details like the title or voice actors, so I usually end up thinking, "what are they even talking about?" lol. If upcoming release information starts being shared there more clearly, it might be a good place to pick it up.
And about utatane (the URL you shared), it's not really a source for upcoming release info—it's more like a database of audio works she personally owns or is interested in.

I'm just in a discord server where ppl like to send links sometimes lol or else I don't go searching for them and sometimes find out many moons later that my favorite work has a CD

Me too! When I find out later, I always regret missing out on bonuses or sales, so I've started wanting to know about releases from the beginning.

That said, it sounds like you're in a really great Discord server!
I'd love to talk about works and new releases and get excited about them together too!

On twitter for me but its usually from the cover artists promoting it.
Oh, really! Do you decide whether to buy it based on the illustrations?

I actually just made a Twitter account a moment ago, but after following a few people I got restricted, haha. I couldn't even turn it into a proper account for finding information lol.

? how did you get restricted already nooo. Illustration is a nice plus but I do find the title more important.

I was just planning to follow as many accounts as I could—voice actors, circles, labels, and stores, basically anything I could find… but I probably followed too many at once. lol
I know illustrations are just an image and not really that important, but I still get drawn in by handsome character art sometimes, haha.
I think previews are the most important, but you're right—titles matter too!

Mainly X since I follow whoever I know to create (all ages) audio contents / otome games.
There's also DLsite notifications for circles I follow.
I also go through Pokedora from time to time, but less frequently.

I think some time last year I found out that Virche AGF audio was available on Pokedora, so I was like "Oh cool, maybe more AGF otome game audio is on Pokedora so I can buy those!"
Then I searched "AGF" as the keyword on Pokedora, and not even Virche showed up. :'<

Yeah, X really is the main one, right? I tried doing the same thing for R18 content and got warned for following too many accounts, haha.
I'm planning to slowly build my timeline little by little every day!
Pokedora sends notifications if you have the app installed too. I don't think I've set any notifications, but the "recommended new releases" were weirdly accurate to my taste, which was kind of scary lol.

Wow, the issue of title variations is really serious… I'm glad you managed to find it, but I wish there were a consistent official title standard so there wouldn't be inconsistencies in how works are listed.
