Where Did You Find Anime-Sharing Forums From, and What Made You Want to Join?

It's been so long, I honestly don't remember anymore. But I think this was around the height of my otome games obsession. I was searching and joining practically every forum there was that had anything to do with otome games. I was probably looking for more to download and stumbled upon this forum

I found this forum completely by accident while desperately trying to find a game on Google. At that point, I was searching so hard that Google somehow led me here.

I was looking for a game~ and eventually, a Reddit comment I found on the way redirected me here. I was never comfortable with the energy of the otome subreddit, and honestly the UI there is far more confusing to me than this, so I like it here better!! That's why I stay here!

omg real, the otome subreddit used to be one of my favourite places around like 2017-8, but it's just different now.
the vibes are off, every post needs moderator approval before you can post it and they take it down 90% of the time lmao.
and if you mention piracy AT ALL, even for games you literally cannot even buy, you get shot on the spot.

Another site shared recommended this forum as the place to find otome games. I thought this forum would be more of a game-sharing site than anything (and there'd be nothing wrong with that), but I got pleasantly surprised when I found out that lots of people here have in-depth discussions on games, writing styles, tropes - things I thoroughly enjoy

I found this through a Google search.
I don't remember exactly what I was looking for at first, but I think it was probably a PC otome game.
I used to check out other blog sites, but they stopped being updated altogether.
I'm usually a lurker who doesn't even post on social media, but I started commenting after the label system was introduced.
I still haven't gotten used to it, and I get a little nervous every time I see a notification icon, but everyone's been so kind—I really appreciate it.

Google probably, I don't remember. I was a lurker way before I created my account. If anyone remembers Hongfire, that used to be the place to find DDLs and modding guides. I began to lurk here once it died where I eventually branched off to otome/BL.

I had come across it in a recommendation on Wattpad, but I also found it in a TikTok comment, haha. I was really interested in it because at that time a lot of websites, blogs, etc., were shutting down... So I was afraid it would shut down too, but here it is :)

Honestly I have no idea,it has been so long but I used to play so many otome games.I would search anything I could find.I may have played games that only few people played.I wanted to make my own game for a while but I never got the time and I was older.Adulting comes with its challanges.I barely have any time for myself

I discovered this forum through an online comment, though it took me a little while to find the exact link since no one provided a direct one.
At first, the forum seemed quite complex, but after nearly a month of participating, I've found my way around and everything is going smoothly.
I really enjoy R18 Otome audio, so I am currently working towards gaining access to those sections of the forum.
