When did you start playing otome games?

i just started getting into them recently even though i've been aware of them for a few years. i am not much of a gamer but i am going to try playing some of them. for me i just love handsome anime guys lol
 
I started playing games in my first year of high school. I was watching the anime Lovely Complex, and the main character, Risa, was playing an otome game. At the time, I didn't know what kind of games those were, so I started researching them online and ended up playing them to this day.
 
Middle school i believed. Oh boy that was decades ago. I didn't even understand what it was until i played it then got addicted. My first one was yojinbo. I was super old and otome wasn't even popular then. :alice_srs:
 
At university. Started as bl enjoyer and then became interested in otome as well. And now I have even more games, but there is no time to read T_T
 
I was probably 13 when I first played a Love Revo game. Since then, I've been into otome games. :D
 
At 11 years old. I found a game, didn't know it was otome, and since then I started my obsession with otome woohoo! 🤭
 
I started playing otome games around 2012, when I was still in elementary school. My first contact was with Amour Sucré (aka My Candy Love) (even though it's not Asian, it somehow shaped my personality XD). I already knew about otome games because I watched a lot of shoujo anime back then, and I used to watch YouTubers playing it too, which is how I really got into it. I even remember the Starry Sky era, although my memories from that time are a bit blurry
 
When I was between 11-12. At that time I didn't understand the language, and it was a struggle to play and look up the meaning of every phrase in the dictionary T__T
I was lucky enough to find some groups that were making patches in spanish. The first otome games that I played were RE: Alistair++ and Star Project :D
 
Around when I was 14 .. I found a comment on a wattpad fanfic talking about mystic messenger L
 
Hmmm, it wasn't long after my 14 year old self made a fake profile and bought an 18plus yaoi game...enzai....when I then stumbled upon normal visual novels. I went in arms swinging!
 
When I was in elementary school, started with books, cyoa ones, but then it was more western games with a dating element and it transitioned over when I learned of the term wanting to find more. (⁠•⁠ ⁠▽⁠ ⁠•⁠;⁠)
 
I think I was around 13.
I used to play in secret, away from my parents, and I couldn't afford to buy them very often because my allowance wasn't enough.
 
I honestly can't remember my age, I guess it's been too long haha. I guess when I was a young teen? But I do remember some of the first otome games I played was My Candy Love, CYOA games, and Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons games if that counts^^

Ah, but I do remember I had a Voltage games phase for the longest time! It was fun when it lasted, and I look back at those days fondly. I sometimes replay them for nostalgia ♡
 
When I was around 12 or 13, a friend got me into anime first and otome games followed pretty shortly after 😌
 
In high school a couple of my friends got me into them. I also watched anime and some of the ones based on otome games also got me interested in playing as well.

i think i started when i was about 15? i played mobile games back then, mystic messenger, shall we date ones…
